Re: WANTED: Results of UHD Rips with Dolby Vision
It rips like a regular UHD title with HDR10. DV is a separate stream that does not copy.

For Disney titles, 800 is always the correct one for English.

Re: ripped dvd/bluray allways less crisp and a bit blurred
VLC is one of the worst media players around.
Try MPC-BE.

If it’s a rental from Netflix or redbox then it won’t have an Atmos track.

Try MPC HC/BE with madvr. VLC isn't the best player.

Re: Dolby Vision?
It seems you're right. Dolby Vision is a separate video track, so it is unlikely we will be able to remux it. There is currently no way to decode Dolby Vision in software as the standard is not open and no specification is available for reverse engineering. Never say never though....

Re: Dolby Vision?
Dolby Vision is metadata on top of HDR10, which is also metadata. You can’t separate the metadata if you can’t decode it.
It’ll copy over, but probably won’t play unless you do pass through to a Dolby Vision TV. Currently no program can decide the Dolby Vision layer.

Re: Baby Driver MKV Forced Subtitles Missing
If you left everything default or English only in preferences, you should have a separate track for Forced subtitles. You will have to manually tag it Forced with mkvtoolnix if you want your media player to prefer it as MakeMKV doesn't set a Forced flag, but rather creates the subtitle as a separate...

Re: Spider-man Homecoming
I doubt the 83 chapter title is correct. Should be no difference between them other than having an absurd number of chapter for a film.goulav wrote:Has anyone noticed any difference in the titles with 16 chapters and 83?

Re: Arrow season 2 exact episode times
I think he's trying to figure out what title is what episode. Don't look at length...it's a waste of time. You'll see that the episodes are laid out a certain way on the disc. 51 is episode 1, 52 is episode 2 and so on. The numbering should continue from disc to disc, or it may restart at 51 for eve...

MakeMKV seems to have trouble with a few of the discs and is unable to find the correct playlist.
Can someone post the correct playlists?

LG
I got the Pioneer UHD Blu-ray drive and it's really picky about reading disks with the tiniest imperfections and scratches. The LG reads it like a boss.

Re: Running an MKV through mkvtoolnix after rip
I always use mkvtoolnix after MakeMKV. MakeMKV is for my initial backup to MKV. mkvtoolnix is for organizing and removing needless subtitles. I actually don't consider my MKVs to be complete until I run it through mkvtoolnix. I usually check if all the tracks are named correctly, and remove subtitle...
