Re: Event Horizon UK/EU 4K

crazygoose, which disc is working for you that wasn't working before? The one here has the UK/IRL and German ratings logos printed on the disc, as sold from Italy as well as, I'm assuming, those regions. That one definitely still doesn't work, I just checked with the latest HK.

Re: Event Horizon UK/EU 4K

Just adding to the pile here. Are Event Horizon discs from other regions rippable? Is everyone who has ripped this using other tools? Mine is the Italian UHD with UK ratings logos as well. Not bothered about speed, but judging by this thread the issue with this release seems to be more complicated. ...

Re: TENET UHD RB - Failed to open disk

Yeah, I appreciated it in this thread. Knew right away there was no need to submit my dump (read that out of context) again. Can't imagine multiple submissions for the same disc accelerate the process. Poor Mike drowning in Tenet.

Re: LG BH16NS40 unable to load or open any disc

May be a long shot, but can you drive be flashed to WH16NS60? I encountered the same behaviour on three of my drives with 1.15.2, made a thread asking, and finally solved my issues by flashing ALL of my drives to WH16NS60. There are a few threads now documenting reading/recognizing issues that were ...

Re: Dolby Vision and 1.15.1

This is amazing work, so firstly, thank you! I've installed the latest app for exoplayer, from a few posts back without the debug. Also have created the playercorefactory.xml and copied that over. No matter what I try, when I select to play with external player, or it does it itself as I have a rul...

Re: Asus BW-16D1HT Firmware crashes? Faulty drive?

Oh, I hadn't seen this thread when I made mine about what seems to be the same issue. Just to add to the pile here: my ASUS BW-16D1HT had trouble reading or successfully completing UHD rips as well on 1.15.2. It all magically worked again after cross-flashing it to an LG WH16NS60 1.02MK. Before that...

Re: Problems ripping UHDs in 1.15.2 [SOLVED, not MakeMKV]

Thanks for helping guys, you are awesome. The two new drives (BH15NS55 flashed to WH16NS60) behave the same as my trusty ASUS on the new firmware. All good. Conclusion: unfortunate coincidence of very difficult discs, 2 LG drives that were getting long in the tooth, and an ASUS drive on a suboptimal...

Re: Problems ripping UHDs in 1.15.2

1.15.1 didn't make a difference in my case, but that's really interesting. I think I've seen that happen before. Guys, I've seen black magic and need an exxplanation. I kept trying, and Jaws wouldn't even be recognised by my best reader, the ASUS. I applied Samuri's speed recommendations and tried t...

Re: Problems ripping UHDs in 1.15.2

have you tried reinstalling 1.15.1 and see if that fixes the issue? I'd been meaning to try that but can't find it :( It's getting less likely anyway. Goodfellas completed successfully on 1.15.2, but the other 2 are misses no matter what I try. If someone can point me to 1.15.1 I'll give that a sho...

Re: Problems ripping UHDs in 1.15.2

Actually, unlimited is just what it says in the description. It's possible, but I just found out you need to enable this in 1.15.2, which I haven't. So read speed is firmware default, whatever that is. I forgot to mention that all I'm doing is full backups to harddrive. Same settings as always. I ju...

Problems ripping UHDs in 1.15.2 [SOLVED, not MakeMKV]

Hey everyone, is anyone else encountering ripping problems (errors, hash check fails, no disc) with 1.15.2 that they weren't before? I'm trying to narrow down where my issues come from. Here's the lowdown: 3 drives, 2 LG BH16NS55 1.02 official and 1 ASUS BW-16D1HT on 3.01 official I believe. All cle...

Re: Dolby Vision and 1.15.1

If most of the content you watch is 23.976 fps, you can tell the refresh rate app to launch exoplayer in that mode, rather than matching the content frame rate. This will result in a smooth start for the video without having to press play again once the refresh rate changes. Good call. Sadly there'...
