Re: Predator Blu-ray BD+ dump
Just to be clear, are we talking about a Blu-ray (eg. 1080px) or an UltraHD disc?

Re: Questions on Forced Subtitles
You can set MakeMKV's profile to automatically apply "default" and/or "forced" flags the first track in the list, but I find it too unreliable because the first track isn't always the one you want flagged. Different players treat forced tracks in different ways. Some require only...

Re: Way to see which subtitle track is "forced" before remuxing
~ I also take the additional step of converting the unencrypted backup to an ISO using ImgBurn. This makes it look like a "disc" to Windows and allows playback in VLC a bit easier. ~ You don't have to create an ISO to play the 'disc' in VLC. If you have a decrypted backup, simply open VLC...

WooHoo! Done.
If you have any dramas with the rest of the discs, just let me know.
Good luck!

Re: Way to see which subtitle track is "forced" before remuxing
There is no way to preview subtitles without watching the title beforehand. There's not even any way to view their size (looking for empty subtitles). I always work from a decrypted backup, which makes my rips so much quicker, and one reason I do that is because I quite often end up ripping files mo...

Re: [Feature Request] multiple languages and database support
Both good ideas, but don't hold your breath! I've been making feature requests for a number of years (that was actually the reason I joined this forum), but I'm yet to see any feature request, mine or anyone else's, added to the program. Even bug reports seem to be ignored! I haven't set a preferred...

Re: Stargate SG-1 Blu-ray Box Set
I'd guess that you'll be able to send PMs once you have a few more posts? Either way, we know it works, kinda. Eighteen hours into the upload and it's currently at 69%... I estimate I'll have the URL to you some time this evening (my time that is, maybe another ten hours)? I really hope this works! ...

Just got out of bed to check (it's 2am here in Eastern Australia)... Ten and a half hours in and we're at 38% so a little ahead of my ETC (but not by much)!
I really need a better internet connection!

Re: Unencrypted Backup from Encrypted Backup
Yes, you can create an encrypted backup using MakeMKV, but why would you?
If you have the disc in the drive, you would simply ignore everything above and make a decrypted backup instead!
The above procedure is only necessary if you have previously made an encrypted backup and want to decrypt it.

Re: Stargate SG-1 Blu-ray Box Set
Stargate SG-1 S9D4 00007.m2ts is uploading to my cloud account now, but it's slow going. It's been running for three hours and it just passed ten percent, so I expect it will be another twenty four hours (+/-) before it's ready.
I'll PM you the URL when it's done.

Re: Windows going to sleep during ripping
As an aside, one quirk I've noticed is that, if working direct from disc when Windows goes to sleep, you lose your entire setup (naming tracks, etc). But if working from a backup, all your setup comes back up when Windows wakes up again! What I did was to disable the automatic sleep timer in Windows...

Re: Stargate SG-1 Blu-ray Box Set
I literally spent months going back and forth with VEI and eventually contacted a law firm in Toronto because I was getting nowhere with whatever smart-ass I was dealing with at the company (who wouldn't even give me their name despite countless requests). It was just excuse after excuse, dodging qu...

Re: Photo ID needed for purchase?!
@PayPro Global Asking for photo ID over the internet is ridiculous on so many levels. As I pointed out earlier in this thread, how can you verify that the photo ID belongs to the person making the transaction when you can't see them? And if someone has had their wallet stolen, don't you think the th...

For the information of future purchasers, is there a way to tell the old version from the new before buying it (ie. without removing the shrink wrap)?mainecooncat1 wrote: ↑Sat Apr 13, 2024 4:28 pm~ The internal packaging is different (4K disc isn't stacked on top of the bonus features disc). ~

Re: TV series on Blu-rays often don't have titles in episode order...
You are correct, MakeMKV drops the leading zeroes from the file names in segment maps, so a "63" in the segment map equals 00063.m2ts For me, that's actually a bit of a PITA! I "text-map" all my discs using Notepad++, which has a neat feature where you can double-click a word/num...
