AFAIK the only person who can do this is Mike. Patience is your only option....

So what "did it" for you in the end? Replacement disks? A new drive? Sacrificing a ripe mango to Cthulhu...?

Re: VERBATIM Ultra HD 4K - Will this work?
does the Verbatim 43888 need flashing to work with make MKV and 4kUHD Blu-ray, or is it plug and play? It should be "plug-and-play". However, having said that, my own Verbatim 43888 always reads an incorrect "Volume ID" from UHD disks. My theory is that LibreDrive is a bit buggy...

Re: Recommendation for best (most reliable and versatile) LibreDrive for 2024?
I already own a Pioneer XD08, which is great for ripping. However, as far as UHD disks are concerned, Pioneers are also completely dependent on LibreDrive. And unless/until Mike can modify LibreDrive to work with the current Pioneer firmware, the pool of LibreDrive-compatible Pioneer drives that are...

Re: Good cost efficient start to Blu Ray rip
I am starting to rip media because we pay for media we never can own. I've done a lot of cd's but I don't have a Blu-Ray/UHD drive(they are the same no?). And from my understanding a libredrive is the cheaper way to do it as well as being reliable. Correct me if I'm wrong though. I just need a driv...

Heh, svq@makemkv.com isn't my email address. It's MakeMKV's "UHD processing queue" .

Re: The Abyss 4K
Email the MKB20_v77_THE_ABYSS_34FA.tgz dump file to svq@makemkv.com, and then wait a few days for "magic" to happen. In the meantime, I notice that the public KEYDB.cfg (downloadable from here ) already contains these two entries: 0x4DBCC54736D7F3FE4A163CB63B24308330238135 = THE_ABYSS (THE...

FWIW, KEYDB.cfg also contains this entry, which may already work for you:

Revision: 1.02 Serial number: <REDACTED> Firmware date: 2022-12-27 Bus encryption flags: 1B Highest AACS version: 68 Sorry, this firmware is too new. You would need something earlier than December 2022, i.e. revision 1.01. Unfortunately, 1.02 and above cannot be downgraded either. This is still a v...

Re: Fail to open Batman vs Superman
Here is the SHA1 hash: 579B5A307C31AB13B14F55A001E560DFAD17044F OK, KEYDB.cfg confirms that this disk is indeed a UHD disk (MKBv61). So the obvious question now is "Does MakeMKV say that LibreDrive is enabled?". You need LibreDrive to be enabled before MakeMKV can rip a UHD disk, or even ...

Re: Fail to open Batman vs Superman
How do I generate the Unit_Key_RO.inf file? You don't generate it, it's one of the files on the disk's filesystem, in its AACS/ directory. This link describes how to compute its SHA1 hash. Also, I set up a custom MakeMKV/Data directory, but when I browse it, the keys_hashed.txt file dates from 2018...
