Re: Stop Making Sense A24 UHD Dump submitted

The public KEYDB.cfg file contains this entry already:

Code: Select all

0x29B6DA3CF8B995AA6DF4AAE76DB8F0F3A7C3CF9D = STOP_MAKING_SENSE (Stop Making Sense) | D | 2024-04-03
Have you tried copying this file into your .MakeMKV/ directory? (This is the same directory where MakeMKV writes the .tgz dump files.)

I'm in a similar position. We may get a new key shortly, we may not, but I get enough use of the software to make a purchase worthwhile.
Someone - perhaps Mike? - has left a new BETA key under the tree, valid until the end of June 2024.

Re: How do I setup VLC to use MakeMKV's backend for Blu-Ray playback?

I have Windows, but also spend a lot of time in Linux (Deepin OS 20) and while it has VLC, am wondering how tough it will be to get the java-problem fixed in a 64-bit linux so menues and stuff work in VLC. In Windows, I have had to go back to 32-bit to have it work properly. VLC's Java menus work f...

You can probably still buy a modern LibreDrive-compatible Pioneer from one of the sellers who advertise on this forum.

Why isn't there a new beta-key?
AFAIK the only person who can do this is Mike. Patience is your only option....

Successfully ripped "The Abyss" 4k, FINALLY!
So what "did it" for you in the end? Replacement disks? A new drive? Sacrificing a ripe mango to Cthulhu...?

Yes, if you buy from one of the sellers who advertise on this forum . Choose one who is local to you.

Re: VERBATIM Ultra HD 4K - Will this work?

does the Verbatim 43888 need flashing to work with make MKV and 4kUHD Blu-ray, or is it plug and play? It should be "plug-and-play". However, having said that, my own Verbatim 43888 always reads an incorrect "Volume ID" from UHD disks. My theory is that LibreDrive is a bit buggy...

Re: Recommendation for best (most reliable and versatile) LibreDrive for 2024?

I already own a Pioneer XD08, which is great for ripping. However, as far as UHD disks are concerned, Pioneers are also completely dependent on LibreDrive. And unless/until Mike can modify LibreDrive to work with the current Pioneer firmware, the pool of LibreDrive-compatible Pioneer drives that are...

Re: Good cost efficient start to Blu Ray rip

I am starting to rip media because we pay for media we never can own. I've done a lot of cd's but I don't have a Blu-Ray/UHD drive(they are the same no?). And from my understanding a libredrive is the cheaper way to do it as well as being reliable. Correct me if I'm wrong though. I just need a driv...

Re: The Abyss 4K

Email the MKB20_v77_THE_ABYSS_34FA.tgz dump file to svq@makemkv.com, and then wait a few days for "magic" to happen. In the meantime, I notice that the public KEYDB.cfg (downloadable from here ) already contains these two entries: 0x4DBCC54736D7F3FE4A163CB63B24308330238135 = THE_ABYSS (THE...
