The reason I picked up on the error was that, after ripping, I use title and season-/episode-number to rename the mkv file. MakeMKV rips opening tune as seperate title
I have used MakeMKV to rip about 50 boxsets and 500 movies with only minor problems. I had numerous discs that contain each episode as a seperate title (i.e. select episode) plus 1 title that contains all of the episodes (i.e. play all). First time rather confusing, but obvious not a MakeMKV problem...

Thx for your reply. I am referring to dvds, 99% of my rips are dvd. I ripped a complete box set of a tv series and, when assigning the episode names to the ripped mkv’s, noticed that just 1 of the about 100 episodes in the box set missed the opening tune and the small part before that. MakeMKV misses start of episodes
I have a few rare occasions where MakeMKV misses the start of an TV episode, i.e. the opening tune and the bit before that.
I always hade the impression I could rely 100% on MakeMKV. Either it fails or it will make a 100% copy. Obviously, that's not always the case.
