Re: Where to buy Bluray discs? I've been getting a lot of fakes from Amazon
There has also been talk on a number of sites, including here, about how the original burnable Bluray disks you could buy USED TO all come from Japan... but more recent ones (from the same manufacturer) come from China and other sources now, and reliability has been going DOWN on them. How much of t...

Re: Anyone have luck ripping Mean Girls (2024)?
Generally, if a 4K disk just starts ripping, it means the key has already been processed and is accessible to MakeMKV. Two different drives having the same issue with the disk usually means a disk issue, which points to cleaning as the first step. This is especially true if the case has any residue ...

Re: Beginner friendly UHD Drive
Drives are drives. They don't care who uses them. So your choice is mostly "What can I get without being an expert?" Right now, the "best" UHD drive is a two-year-old Pioneer. Anything newer means getting firmware that locks you out of reading UHD disks unless you use "appro...

Re: Quick Payment processing and Key
Have you checked your spam folder? A lot of mail systems sort the email as "Spam", and hide it from you. Typically, the message is received within an hour of processing, usually within minutes. But, sometimes, you have to contact the payment processor and ask. And the address support@makem...

Firmware date says no, at this time. Pioneer screwed things up for users in December 2022.

Re: ASUS SBW-06D2X-U for bluray
That drive can read Bluray disks, but... BDs are saved differently than DVDs. Actually, saving DVDs as ISOs is "new". Generally speaking, both types of disk are saved as collections of MKV files that are the contents of the disk, NOT as "disk images". This is what you get if you ...

Re: Is there a preferred Linux release that MakeMKV works best with?
"The version that you USE."
The requirements are listed in the topic about the release. If you have a version of Linux that meets the requirements that you prefer, that would be YOUR preferred version.
MakeMKV just cares that the interface requirements are met.

Re: Is the decrypt key available for MKB20_v77_THE_CREATOR_89B8?
Did you submit the generated file to have a key created?
Do you have download of keys enabled, and does the log show that a connection can be made?
These are more important questions.

"Too new" seems a weird description of a two-year-old disk. Especially since you're talking about part of a set.

Re: newbie to makemkv with weird errors
Links to web pages aren't image links, so they won't display like you think. What "same error"? There is a difference between commercial video disks and "a disk full of videos". Commercial disks have certain types of copy protection. There is no telling what "a disk full of ...

Re: Kung Fu Panda 4 4K UHD
The use of keys.db would depend on whether or not the key is present in it. Yes? Good chance. No? Still have to wait for SOMEONE to provide a decryption key.
