Re: Reencoding problems with some new TrueHD tracks

It’s now with MakeMKV 1.17.5 also broken with DTS-HD MA to FLAC on Arch Linux, always stops at "analyzing seamless segments". Ripping works without any audio transcoding selected though. @dcoke22: Thanks, that explains it. MakeMKV must be linked to an old ffmpeg library. @mike admin: Pleas...

Re: Reencoding problems with some new TrueHD tracks

Hi, I have experimented further: It doesn’t work on Arch Linux anymore, doesn’t work on Ubuntu 23.04, but does work on Ubuntu 22.04. There is something not compatible with newer packages in the MakeMKV build. It does actually happen with all TrueHD tracks I come across.

Re: Reencoding problems with some new TrueHD tracks

I’m a Linux user and now I tried MakeMKV under Windows to verify this TrueHD transcoding bug. On Windows, it’s not happening. MakeMKV transcodes the TrueHD track just fine under Windows. So, this seems really like a ffmpeg issue on Linux?

Reencoding problems with some new TrueHD tracks

Hello, since a couple weeks, I get TrueHD errors when I try to transcode new reencoded releases to FLAC audio via MakeMKV. The program just stops the process with the message: »Copy complete. 0 titles saved, 1 failed.« That’s all. eac3to fails too but it could be a whole other problem. Its error mes...

LG BH16NS55 FW 1.03 unable to over-flash

Hi guys, got a new LG BD-RE BH16NS55 and wanted to flash the LibreDrive compatible firmware HL-DT-ST-BD-RE_BH16NS55-1.05-NM00400-212004211049.bin My current firmware version is 1.03. So, I’ve followed the guide using cmd as admin and it seemed to successfully flash the MK firmware (with "enc&qu...

Re: Redbox Discs And Why???

Hello, I for one, do use a local postal rental service and rip some of the BDs. Our German service does not fall under some sort of timeframe rule, they get the disc when it’s released in stores. And no, I have paid for MakeMKV – in 2011. So, to answer your other question, why am I doing this? To sa...

Re: Step up all In

Have this issue too but you can always make a full disk backup via MakeMKV without decrypting – for anyone with rentals that's your solution. Just 'ripp' the copied disk later when AACS v50 support has arrived.

Re: Conversion to WavPack

MakeMKV inserts original channel layout mask into FLAC metadata
Hey, is this confirmed? And any player should recognize it? No madflac here, all my systems run Linux, VLC, GStreamer, XBMC.

Re: ffmpeg 1.2 on Arch fails

ffmpeg source and package from Arch: https://www.archlinux.org/packages/extra/x86_64/ffmpeg/
I have version 1.2-2.
Good to know that your ffmpeg patch is still mandatory.

ffmpeg 1.2 on Arch fails

Hello, the old mmffmpeg works with MakeMKV, but since the official tree supports 24 bit FLAC encoding, I want to use the normal binary from my distribution. But when I set the path to /usr/bin/ffmpeg it fails at "1,1 K": "Copy complete. 0 titles saved, 1 failed." No other message...

Re: DTS-HD HRA (XBR) decoding fails

@marcusj0015 Nope. DTS-HD High Resolution Audio is a "DTS+" between DTS and DTS-HD Master Audio. There are many BDs from some publishers that have only HRA and no lossless Master Audio.

Re: DTS-HD HRA (XBR) decoding fails

@marcusj0015: The default one doesn't even decodes or converts anything to FLAC. The "FLAC" profile just copies the DTS-HD HRA stream. I've added this lines to my custom profile: <trackSettings input="DTSHD-stereo"> <output outputSettingsName="flac-best" defaultSelectio...

I have a stream for him too. Currently I am writing on the mail. (Well, not quite currently, but you understand).
