Re: Question on DTS 7.1 and 5.1 audio tracks - both required
Receivers aren't as dumb as to discard channels. So as long as it can play the track, it will downmix it to 5.1. Edit: that being said, the presence of two tracks does suggest the 5.1 mix differs from a simple 7.1 -> 5.1 downmix (that, or the Blu-ray authors are stupid), so for a 5.1 system if might...

Re: Dolby Digital Plus Problem
Who knows. Not sure the spec. disallows that.

Re: Ultra HD Bluray
Would a theoretical UHD makemkv rip be playable on a 1080p screen? I'f you're asking whether your 1080p TV will be able to read HEVC-encoded content from e.g. a USB drive plugged into one of the available ports, then the answer is most likely no (maybe very new TVs that have just been released, but...

Re: New BD killed MakeMKV - Reset to default settings ?

Newer AACS versions blacklist known compromised keys from earlier AACS versions (IIRC, at the firmware level); you have 3 workarounds: - use another BD drive and make sure to only insert discs with AACS v52 or earlier (they'll blacklist k...

The only workaround I know of is to install a Riplock-free firmware on the drive.

Just a guess but it looks like it may be logging a signed number incorrectly, the gap is probably minus a few milliseconds.
