Re: Issue with two drives
I have 2 identical drives (including same firmware) (ASUS, not Pioneer). One of them is mounted in my desktop, connected with a SATA cable to the motherboard. The other is in an external case and connected to the desktop with a USB cable. I have no problems running makemkv simultaneously on both dri...

Re: My first 4k attempt... and failed
Shouldn't this be moved to the UHD forum, not the Linux forum,
especially since the user is running Windows?

Re: Problems converting HER
I haven't tried this particular movie, but I have experienced similar problems with other DVDs using makemkv. I have always been able to do this: Open the DVD with vlc and determine the correct title number and last chapter number in that title. Say the title is 47 and the last chapter is 15. Assumi...

Re: MakeMKV v1.10.7 linux(x64-release) crash with openJDK 1.
You're talking about a JDK (Java Development Kit) version, but I don't think makemkv cares about the JDK. In most cases it cares about the JRE (Jave Runtime Environment). /bdjava/ You probably have the same version of the JRE installed as you do the JDK. If makemkv is calling java, presumably it has...

Obfuscation / makemkvcon
I just found this old post from Mike Admin dealing with how to find the correct playlist for a BD using obfuscation. For now, the "easiest" manual path: 1. insert the disc in player, play main movie. If your player displays playlist id, then you're done. If not continue. 2. Take a pencil a...

Eject Disc / New Feature Request
MakeMKV has a button on the top for ejecting/opening your optical drive. Clicking on this button opens the drive (if it's closed), period. I would find it useful if the meaning of the button were changed to "toggle the drive". If the drive is closed, clicking on the button would open the d...

Re: KEY NOW EXPIRED - Is there a new key code for beta versi
I experienced the same problem. I've been using makemkv for several months,
so I went and bought a key. With that new key, makemkv started right up.
You can purchase a key at www.makemkv.com/buy if you decide you want to
do that.

Making MKV from backup
Just playing around, I successfully created a backup up a Blu-Ray Disc.
Now I'd like to make a MKV using the just created backup (instead of
using the physical disc in the optical drive). How do I do that?

What does lifetime license include?
I have been a Linux user exclusively forever, so I'm very uninformed when it comes to buying a license for software. I couldn't find any details on the license on the website. If you purchase a single lifetime license for one computer, and then you want/need to upgrade that computer (for example, yo...
