Subtitle

Post by veen49 »

Hello i am new on this forum.
Makemkv just works fine, source is a DVD jurassic park, if i play it on my homecinema, there is a very good video en audio.
But the subtitle is not visible , contains a format Vobsub ( codec : S_VOBSUB) , also on PC Powerdvd can't sea the sub as well.
What can i do about it ?

Hi!

Software players have been slow to incorporate "PGS" subtitle format playback capability. Try VLC v.1.1.0...

PGS is from Blu-ray and HD DVD. He was ripping a DVD, so the subtitle format should be VOBSUB (which he also said it was).

There should be pretty good vobsub support in most players, but I'm not sure about PowerDVD. VLC 1.1.0 is a good suggestion for the PC, though.
