I know 4k ripping of an actual disc is pretty much imposible now, but 3 movies have already surfaced on pirate sites where you can download the files, will makeMKV be able to rip these files anytime soon ? I can do it manually with mkvToolNix but just wondering....

As I see it, MakeMKV's primary function is to take a disc, whether DVD or Blu-Ray, de-encrypt it and wrap its contents into .mkv files. Further developing it for converting content that was created in who-knows-what fashion that's available on a torrent site wouldn't be where I'd ask Mike to sink valuable R&D time. I'll patiently wait for a proper UHD disc encryption crack and container/wrapper.

I'd also suggest to anyone reading this that they should not discuss using MakeMKV as a tool for pirated material. This is a public forum. Let's not have MakeMKV become a bigger target for the entertainment industry than it already is...
