Obtaining FPL_MainFeature from console

Post by lightsabersetc »

Is it possible to obtain the FPL_MainFeature comment that is present in the UI from within makemkvcon?

I've tried everything I can think of and have Google-fu'd myself to nowhere for an embarrassing amount of time, so I'm coming to believe it's not possible. Java is setup, with the console output confirming it:

Code: Select all

MSG:3344,0,1,"Using Java runtime from /usr/lib/jvm/java-8-openjdk-amd64/bin/java","Using Java runtime from %1","/usr/lib/jvm/java-8-openjdk-amd64/bin/java"
This is definitely a title using playlist obfuscation, confirmed by this thread. For the sake of completeness, the output of

Code: Select all

/usr/local/bin/makemkvcon --noscan info
for the known good track:

Code: Select all

Is this still a dead-end or did you find a solution?

Still a dead end on my side.

I’ve found a way to identify the correct track if you rip them all and use a script to compare frames, but it’s not really feasible outside of the lab because of the heavy processing required.

Are you using the latest version of MakeMKV?

Works just fine for me, although I don't have that particular movie ;)

Here is my super advanced batch script ;) in case anyone would like to use it.

Code: Select all

for /f "tokens=1-5*" %%1 in ('vol d:') do ( set "volm=%%6" & goto done )
:done
dir d: /s >"%volm%-disc.txt"
e:\progra~1\makemkv\makemkvcon -r info disc:1 >"%volm%-tree.txt"
And the relevant parts of the result:

Code: Select all
