Saving rip as one file and not seperate titles

Post by natjane14 »

Hi

New to this software and wanting to know how to keep all the titles from one disk (eg 5 titles from one disc) as one file and not seperate titles once they're ripped

thanks

It depends upon how the disk is authored. If it was created with a single file on the disk, with multiple entry points, you can USUALLY just select the "really big title" to get all of the episodes as one. If the episodes are really separate files, though, MakeMKV isn't the tool for assembling them into a bigger file.

Generally, people ask how to break up files on disks where all the episodes were put in a single file with NO extra entry points...

The real "one file has everything" solution is to generate an ISO image of the disk. That retains menus and everything.

The more vocal among us prefer to have "just" the content (movie or episode), and not the "fluff" of the extras, to save space. Extras are nice for watching once or twice, but they're not why we bought the disks. Are we the majority? Don't know... can't hear the opinions of quiet people over our own din...
