[Solved] 1.10.9 Linux - Unable to find drives

Post by ricomoss »

I've been using MakeMKV on Linux Mint for a long time and when I updated to version 1.10.9, I receive the message: "The program can't find any usable optical drives."

I've been unable to find any information about how to correct this for Linux. There have been posts regarding running the program in "administrator mode" for Windows users, but this is not relevant on Linux. I've tried running the program as root, but it makes no difference - same error.

Can anyone provide assistance?

Bus::open: Can not get ibus-daemon's address.
IBusInputContext::createInputContext: no connection to ibus-daemon

Edit:

Oddly enough a hard reset solved the problem. (never needed to do that before)
