"Movie located in a folder" ... does this mean you've already ripped the movie to disk, and you're using MakeMKV to process that copy?

The log indicates that the DVD file structure is damaged.

Yes, this was a movie copied in about 2008. We have been watching it until Windows 10 stopped playing it, so, as with others, we want to make a readable copy.

OK, then there are additional questions.

Is it a DVD ISO file? If so, are you having MakeMKV open that file, or are you using some method to mount the ISO as a "drive" in Windows?

Is it a "DVD file structure", i.e., rather than being a copy of the complete DVD in one large file, it is just the VOB and other files from the disk?

It is not an .iso file. It is
VIDEO_TS\VIDEO_TS.BUP"
VIDEO_TS\VIDEO_TS.IFO"
VIDEO_TS\VIDEO_TS.VOB"
VIDEO_TS\VTS_01_0.BUP"
VIDEO_TS\VTS_01_0.IFO"
VIDEO_TS\VTS_01_1.VOB"
VIDEO_TS\VTS_01_2.VOB"
VIDEO_TS\VTS_01_3.VOB"
VIDEO_TS\VTS_01_4.VOB"
VIDEO_TS\VTS_01_5.VOB"
