Won't rip LPCM correctly

MakeMKV seems to have trouble properly ripping dvds with PCM Audio.
Trying to rip the videos from the bonus dvd that comes with the album "California 37 Deluxe Edition" by Train.
The audio of the MKV has massive flutter when played back. Tried VLC, MPC and Kodi. I would figure if I had a bad codec somewhere that the disc would fail to play correctly as well, but Kodi would be the victor.
Playing the disc or ISO created by the disc with VLC or MPC, it plays correctly. Trying to rip the data with Handbrake - well, that program recodes it to AC3 even when I select passthru, so that's a bad test, but it still sounds correctly!
I have other PCM tracks on my system that play fine as well.
