Difference in track length - Assumed fake track

Post by ezgod87 »

So MakeMKV has been an awesome tool for me, but ofc. nothing’s perfect. Lately I’ve been ripping my collection of TV shows on DVD and there have been issues where a disc or specific episode just can’t be read and it errors out. This is fine, it’s more than likely an issue with the DVD.

However, I’ve also been getting issues where it says (something along the lines of): Actual title or track length does not match supposed length and is assumed to be fake. Now what I’m assuming is happening perhaps is an AV sync issue so severe, the app doesn’t see it as a single track anymore, but as a unregistered second one. Maybe?

Anyways, the assumption being made it’s fake and therefor I surely don’t want it is kind of annoying because I’d love to see if I’d rather have something flawed instead of nothing.

Is there any known way to circumvent uncle MakeMKV watching out for us like this? Any settings or maybe an older version of the software?

Hope anyone has experience with this.
