Using Direct Disk access mode Error

I have been using M-MKV for a couple of years now when (seemingly) out of the blue I can't open a bluray to convert and I get an error message "using Direct Disk access mode".

I did some searching arounhttp://s129.photobucket.com/user/C ... ml?filters[user]=36511412&filters[recent]=1&sort=1&o=0d and under my IO preference I get an option to "ask for single drive mode"
I restarted M-MKV and got the same error message for using Direct Disk access mode.
Ask for single drive mode is checked off.

HELP! LOL
I will post a screwen capture of the error message as well as attach the bug log.
