Turn on debug logging, so we can see if there is more information available.

Details in the FAQ listed in my signature.

I just had this same failure from Men In Black Blu-ray from the Trilogy set. Tried twice, cleaned the disk and tried a third time all with the same result. First failure I've ever had after many many disks. Quite impressed with the program so far.

If you use Open/Save to MKV instead of Backup, does it fail on just one file, or multiple files?

"Backup" fails if any file is unreadable, because it may be important to playback. Open/Save to MKV will write every file it can read, since they're "stand alone" files.

I've never even thought to try that. I've always just backed up the whole disk and then used Handbrake to compress the right file. I've got Men in Black II going right now. As soon as that's done I'll give it a try.

That worked perfectly! Thank you.
