Re: Help! MakeMKV Deletes its output
A bit off topic but I'll chime in with my two cents. When a disc fails give us the option to save the currently ripped disk. I have discs that all episodes are in one file. One bad spot on the disc and Makemkv fails I get no episodes at all. :( Work around though: Use VLC to rip the DVD to get what ...

Re: "But the disk is perfect and plays in my DVD/BD player!"
First time posting but WOW. Used several DVD Rippers in the past. AnyDVD was on top of the list. When it went away, I thought " Well More money down the drain. I love my DVDs but I hate it when they get scratched and damaged. MakeMKV seems like the perfect alternative to other systems. The one...

Just want to say....
I just want to say Thank you Mike! Thank you for all the years of your work and devotion to making peoples lives better.
No. Don't read anything more into this, such as Mike is stopping or leaving as I'm just a average user of this product.

Re: MakeMKV v1.14.7 Isn't ripping DVD
I did what woodstock recommended to get hamlet, 1996, to rip; I installed 12.3. no problem. My symptoms using 14.7: the disk was recognized by makemkv, files to rip list provided, started rip, but no progress bar with the hard drive and reader/player both active, steadily. However, the output file ...

Re: Cant Rip Angel Has Fallen DVD
Try using Handbrake. Don't forget to copy the libdvdcss.dll to your installation folder. Hmm, I suppose the UK version is quite a bit different than the US version. No idea other than the usual tricks, such as don't rip subtitles, selected audio. My first DVD reader is older, about 10 years and I ha...

Re: Screener DVD problem. - Title with Special Attributes skipped
This sounds like the same problem that I'm having with Luther Series 5 discs. Can't get past the open DVD process but I'm not using any passkey, like I know what that is.

Re: can't open Luther Series 5
Thanks for the response. I have managed to rip the DVD using Handbrake (corrected this as I miswrote about using VLC) without issues. I've sent the IFOs for Disc 1. I'd better send disc 2 now as I'm not sure which one the log file is for. LOL. Thanks. Good luck. BTW, since I DO have too much time on...

can't open Luther Series 5
I'm unable to open the DVDs Luther Series 5. Both discs attempt to "Open DVD" but hang up as shown here, after which I allow it to run for 10 minutes or so without any further progress. I've tried two different DVD devices, one with USA region(which is the DVDs proper region) the other wit...

Re: Doctor Who - The Collection (new BBC copy protection?)
I ripped Shada but not 100% successfully as at 1:31:58 the sound/video sync issue occurs. DVD plays fine with VLC and a stand-alone player but ripping it caused the problem, attempting multiple drives.

Re: No Subtitle streams from ripped DVD - is there an option
Yea, there is something broken here. Just ripped 12 Monkeys. Viewing the disk through handbrake I see that there are 2 subtitles for each video yet Makemkv finds only 1 on MOST but at least on one track for each dvd it finds all of the subtitles. I can't believe that they would create the DVDs with ...

Re: No Subtitle streams from ripped DVD - is there an option
Well, it appears that I can rip the DVD with Handbrake, so there is no need to use MakeMKV for these discs. While I've not used anything but MAKEMKV for many years perhaps I'll use it again at some point. Yes, I bought it. It was worth it. :) I don't mean to insinuate that I'm giving up on it, just ...

Re: No Subtitle streams from ripped DVD - is there an option
I'm having the same issue. I'm RE-RIPPING Discs that I have done before. The subtitles worked then but with 1.12.2 it is not finding any of them. Since I KNOW 100% for fact that they are there by viewing the disc via VLC as well as I have ripped the discs before there IS something wrong here. All of...

Re: Lastest version; can't upgrade, folder is not empty.
Nope. As stated before the folder was empty. I deleted it and tried again. No go. It created the folder again with nothing in it but than repeated the problem. strange.
And I don't put anything else in these folders. Assumptions are not always wise nor appreciated.

Lastest version; can't upgrade, folder is not empty.
Trying to upgrade to the latest version today. Installer uninstalled old version, left folder behind (empty) but new installer won't let me select the folder as it says that it isn't empty. Simply picked a new folder name that didn't exist and installed okay ( I hope). Just don't know if you're awar...
