Re: Don't create wget output files

This still happens with the current MakeMKV v1.10.10 linux(x64-release). Most problematically, when using using libmmbd with mpv , which has recently fixed spam from libbluray. This wget output (not to mention the garbage file creation) is the sole remaining eyesore. This seem beyond the control of ...

Re: MAKEMKV 1.99 - Windows XP installer failure

This has been happening to me with every single update even though I make no modifications to the MakeMKV directory. Steps to reproduce on Windows 7: 1. Open outdated MakeMKV 2. Click the update link, which opens Firefox and downloads the installer 3. Run the installer from Firefox 4. Tell the insta...

Re: Due to a bug in Linux kernel messages

If this really is a kernel bug, then it should be filed at https://bugzilla.kernel.org/ by someone who is experiencing it (i.e., has the most available information) so that the kernel developers at least know there is a problem.

Re: Merging Lord of the Rings Extended Edition Trilogy Set

I take it back. Only The Fellowship of the Ring merged correctly. Both The Two Towers and The Return of the King had different private data in the h264 track.

Re: Merging Lord of the Rings Extended Edition Trilogy Set

Hi, Have you had problems merging/appending ROTK to one MKV? I get a warning "The codec's private data does not match". I haven't split the files or modified them in any way. I just use "Append". Thanks in advance Morten Are you sure that you didn't use MakeMKV's flac profile? I was having the same...

Re: Thanks Mike!

I was also excited to see this in the changelog. Thanks so much. At first I felt a little dumb as I couldn't find the setting. Somehow my eyes kept skipping over it even though I looked at the relevant tab a couple times. In case anyone else is looking for this it's in View->Preferences->IO->Ask for...

Re: Dolby Digital Plus Problem

I'm pretty sure that this is not makemkv's job to "support" any particular codec. It just dumps the contents of the blu-rays audio/video/subtitle tracks into an mkv file. It's up to whatever program you use to decode it. That said, both VLC and Kodi (and pretty much any thing else you would voluntar...

Re: Can Optiarc BD RW BD-5730S USB Device rip all regions?

With Blu-Rays, regions are implemented in software instead of hardware. Makemkv obviously does not implement this anti-feature. So any drive should work with all regions. In fact Makemkv is usually able to circumvent DVD regions on single region drives.

Kingsman: The Seceret Service No FUTs were obtained

BD+ code processed but no FUTs were obtained errors may follow
while trying to rip Kingsman: The Seceret Service.

Main title rips, but there are frequent video corruption errors.

Two questions regarding DTS-HD-HRA:

I have found that the default FLAC profile does not decode DTS-HD-HRA audio tracks, but making the modifications described in this post permit me to decode it on the fly as expected. Is there a reason that this is left out of the defalut profile? According to mikeadmin , all versions of the dtsdeco...

Re: Save Partial Rip?

This is a much requested feature. However the way it's currently engineered makemkv is prioritizes correctness of the rip over successfulness. In other words, no. I agree however it would be nice if it runs into an error to ask whether you want to proceed with a broken rip. However, I could forsee t...

Re: makemkvcon causes segfaults in orc

It may also be worth checking out "revdep-rebuild" in gentoolkit which actually checks for consistent linking. I just tried emerging makemkv 1.8.9 in my gentoo chroot and I get "Application Failed to Initialize", but no segfault. Below is the back trace if I interrupted at the dialogue window before...

Re: makemkvcon causes segfaults in orc

Stupid question, but no one else here seems to have mentioned it, but we should just confirm that this still happens after emerge --update --deep --with-bdeps=y --newuse @world and then recompiling makemkv (unless that was already done by the above command).. There may be some incompatible linking t...
