Re: Fatal Error - BD+

Hi Lovely Rita. Not sure if this will work, please try to reset your Mac’s “PRAM” if you have not done this yet. Luckily on my Mac, I did not get any “Fatal Error Program will now exit” error. I’m using MakeMKV 1.14.5 on Sierra. I have a Pioneer BDR-207DBK drive. It’s not a Mac issue as the same th...

Re: Fatal Error - BD+

Yes, I agree that it’s something to do with this version.

I can see where I added Independence Day (BD+ disc) to my server last November so something has happened between then and present day.

Re: MakeMKV - Mac compatibility

In my opinion Mac / Makemkv compatibility is a non issue after 6 years of use.

Re: Fatal Error - BD+

I'll wait to hear back from the BD+ guru...
Since it's occurring on both of my machines, I suspect the software.
I can see no other recent mentions of it from others but it seems most of the attention these days is related to UHD.

Re: Fatal Error - BD+

so it now works once you pointed makemkv at java? No, my point was that it’s always been pointed at Java. After your initial post all I did was pop in Wick, which I knew would utilize java and it did. I did not go into preferences and repoint. The BD+ discs still give fatal errors. ***This occurs o...

try with java installed
I've had Java installed ever since Mike came out with his Java RE addition. 2+ years?
Verified, after your suggestion, with my John Wick 3 disc.

Fatal Error - BD+

Due to a drive error, I'm in the process of rebuilding some of my library. Discs in question, Avatar and Showtime series Homeland (all BD+ protected) were previously processed years ago. Now, receiving "fatal errors" during the "processing BD+ code" process. :? Thought I would throw this out to the ...

Re: Fastest DVD Backup (Mac)?

More of a plug for Cisdem’s product than an objective review of all DVD rippers. FFmpeg and Handbreak aren’t even rippers.

Re: Fastest DVD Backup (Mac)?

Wouldn’t know. It was the only DVD ripper I ever used until I bought makemkv, about 6 years ago. These days I rarely even mess with a DVD, unless I cannot find what I want on BR. This year I bet I’ve only ripped 2 or 3. Anything better? It all gets back to what you want it to do and for my needs the...

Re: Fastest DVD Backup (Mac)?

MacTheRipper is still around. The developer just released a point update to version 5. You can create an unencrypted ISO, among other things. Lionsgate discs throw it a curve but they do the same with all rippers as far as I know.

Re: RED & RED2

Not sure if anyone has posted the correct playlist for RED.
Three letters words are difficult to search for. Red was released on Blu Ray on 1/25/2011 so you may want to look for posts around that date.

Re: Deepwater Horizon

This looks almost identical for what was mentioned earlier to use for the U.S. retail version. The only difference i see is the file name. The one mentioned was File name: Deepwater_Horizon-_t52.mkv. If i look for that file name the segment map is different. Is the file name something i have to wat...
