Re: Possible to create a decrypted backup from an encrypted ISO?

Yes, you use a loopback device to mount it. If you create the ddrescue ISO with LibreDrive active, the discatt.dat isn't needed. That's useful for when bus encryption is enabled but LibreDrive disables bus encryption so you get a pure read of the disc into a raw ISO image. From there you can mount ...

Re: Possible to create a decrypted backup from an encrypted ISO?

Enable LibreDrive before you use dd rescue. Then mount the resulting iso as a virtual drive, open makemkv and select the backup option to make a decrypted folder backup. How would you mount the ISO as a "virtual drive" in Linux? The conventional method is to mount an ISO as a loopback dev...

[Feature Request] - makemkvcon to honour Semiauto naming convention when no output folder stated

TL;DR if a backup folder is not stated via cli, default to preferences as per GUI. If backup folder is stated, override settings Hi Mike, As always, thanks for a fantastic and uniquely useful product. Avid user for over 8 years. Secondly, apologies if this has been covered before... I did check. It...

Re: Batman - The Animated Series UK Bluray

SOLVED!

So I went and checked the other titles... guess what? 3 languages all shown correctly. The first track seems to be duplicate with only directors commentary. I feel slightly stupid but glad its sorted!

Thanks to all who read and contributed....

Re: Batman - The Animated Series UK Bluray

"Identified by MakeMKV" - at what point? If you expand the title as shown in the topic on using Expert Mode, are there 3 separate tracks there? At all tracks selected? Thanks for your reply! Yes; I expanded the contents fully and there were three tracks, and all selected. I tried to see i...

Batman - The Animated Series UK Bluray

Good Evening, I have just ripped Batman - The Animated Series Series 1 Disc 1 Episode 1. There are three audio tracks identified on MakeMKV, and in the resulting output file. However, these are all identical, audio commentary tracks. I have made an Unencrypted Backup and this plays normally ( episod...

Re: Episodic disk ripping

Not sure if this was the exact issue I had; but I know when i had issues with TV Shows Mike told me to do a Whole Disc backup with MakeMKV, then delete the PLAYLIST and BACKUP folders. Then load the BDMV ( If i remember right) file in MakeMKV and I was able to pull out all of the individual episode ...

makemkvcon - Semi-Auto Folder Renaming

Mike, Would it be possible to allow makemkvcon to utilise the same options in settings.conf as the GUI in order to allow a default folder, and sub folder based on medium name? Currently makemkvcon fails if you do not state an output folder; even if it is stated in settings.conf; i.e. : app_Destinati...

Re: Supernatural: Season 2 - Not separate episodes?

I'm having same problem with Supernatural Season 1 Disc 1 - 4 Episodes are correctly extracted as four individual titles ; but two titles are extracted which each contain two episodes back to back. ISO extraction and decryption shows the 6 episodes with their individual m2ts files. Not sure why Make...

[BUG REPORT] makemkvcon ignores "app_ExpertMode = "1""

Hi all, I use makemkvcon on a headless server to convert my disc collection. To help in the organisation I added the above line from my OS X version to the cli version on my server. I was hoping this was add the functionality to use disc titles as directories. Unfortunately it does not. If debug log...

Re: mmdtsdec binary on 64-bit systems

Well; thanks for all the input! Yeah... UnRAID is moving from being based on 32 Bit Slackware 13.37 to Slackware64 14.0. It's great as a server it's just a bugger if you need to tweak the OS. Might post over there and see if they can add the kernel config for 32 bit emulation!

mmdtsdec binary on 64-bit systems

Hi, I build and run MakeMKV on my unRAID server which is based on Slackware OS. The latest beta of unRAID has moved to 64 bit operating system, and the kernel does not support 32 bit emulation. Basically because the mmdtsdec binary links to the 32 bit library /lib/ld-linux.so.2 I cannot transcode an...
