MakeMKV licensing question

Hi,

I think I would like to buy a license for application but I need to know more about the install limits. Can the key be de-activated in the software and then re-used if the OS is reinstalled / new OS drive? Is there a limit or other process to allow this?

The Office (mixed up episodes)

Hi, I'm trying to back up my 9 disc set of The Office (US) but am running into a lot of trouble. Season 1 and 2 were straight forward, season three onward seems to be quite mixed. I tried opening the disc and looking at the "Source title ID: X" but this has not helped me find the correct o...

"This device does not exist"

The last 5-6 rips I attempted on my BD-ROM ATAPI iHES112 3 ML05 have failed. As far as I can tell, the drive does work and the discs are good as they work in my other drives. The rip always ends in the following: Error 'OS' error - 'This device does not exist' occured while reading '/BDMV/STREAM/XXX...

Re: Need a new BD drive, which one?

"Locked" as in "rip-locked"? Or one that got locked by an AACS version and stopped loading BDs? I have not experienced rip-lock on LGs or Samsung, but some drive manufacturers (including Pioneer) have a "quiet mode" that limits ripping speeds unless you turn it off. In...

Re: Need a new BD drive, which one?

Ah, good to get a feel for the brand's. I was actually hoping for a particular model recommendation. I have one drive that is locked and one that isn't. Definitely hope to avoid another locked model :/

Re: Slow blueray rip

I tried that but it doesn't seem like anyones done anything with the N model.. There's some info out for the R version. For kicks I tried following those steps but it kept telling me I had the wrong drive for this. EDIT: Ugh, my new Lite-on iHES112 3 DL04 appears to have riplock too..... It will rea...

Re: Slow blueray rip

I decided I would just send the drive back and get another Lite-on as I've read they usually run faster.

My laptop has a riplocked drive. I was wondering how (if possible) I could remove riplock from an HP CDDVDW TS-L633R 0400?

Slow blueray rip

I just download1.8.6 to play with alongside my shiny new ASUS BD drive. The read seems to be incredibly slow, I can't get over 2.5X which means bluerays are pretty much not copy-able. The drive I have is this one: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6827135247 Any ideas? Is the drive just bad?

SCSI errors

I seem to be getting a lot of SCSI erros on certain DVDs

Example:

Error 'Scsi error - MEDIUM ERROR:L-EC UNCORRECTABLE ERROR' occurred while reading 'DVD+R-DL hp CDDVDW TS-L633R 0400' at offset '32768'

Does this mean the DVD is bad? I do get these on some DVDs but others are fine.
