Re: Captain America: The Winter Soldier - No Forced Subtitle

There's more. Sometimes they are marked as forced as sometimes not. There aren't any more variances. The contained ones will be marked as forced (MakeMKV flags them as default "d" and I change the flag to "f". There might be some way to fix this in the options, but there aren't ...

Re: 3D MVC Option

I thought I'd mention that the KDLINKS HD720 will play MKV files in 3D (Mpeg4-MVC-3D). It will not start playing in 3D automatically. Press Menu and select 3D Side By Side.

Re: Captain America: The Winter Soldier - No Forced Subtitle

As you found out, there are three ways forced subtitles can be presented on Blu-ray discs (but only two that you have to worry about). The first is separate , like you encountered, where the forced subtitles have a main track spot. The second is contained like in Captain Phillips where the forced su...

Re: Winter Soldier combo disc

I believe it is AACS v 48. MakeMKV 1.8.11 and 1.8.12 currently only supports up to AACS v 47.

Re: Cruel Intentions

MakeMKV 1.8.12 has an LPCM bug http://www.makemkv.com/forum2/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=8202. You have to use 1.8.11 to rip any movies with LPCM until the new version comes out /download/old/.

Re: Manual track selection and/or order weight using makemkv

Preferences > General > Select Expert Mode. Then open your disc. Select your audio track. Under Properties in the drop down box (where Name is), select Order Weight. Delete 90. Type 80, and it will come before the others. By default each track is given 90, and it is assigned in the order that it app...

And yes, they do work if you deselect the PCM tracks.
People want the lossless audio though. That's one of the big reasons of using MakeMKV.

If there was a dump .tgz, submit it /svq/. I don't know if it will help support AACS v 48 any faster, but you might as well submit it.

If you read other posts in the forum, you will see that 1.8.12 instantly fails when ripping LPCM. I got instant fails with 1.8.12 without any explanation codes. I reinstalled 1.8.11, and now everything is working again. If it says your version is too old, try updating the registration key.

Re: Scsi Error - Need Help Understanding these failures

Most likely either A, the disc is scratched or B, your Blu-ray drive is going bad.

To be safe and to rule out the cable first, try using a USB cable and see if it makes any difference. If it does, then either you need to replace the cable, or it could be a port issue.

Re: Escape Plan US Netflix - zillions of titles - which is r

You shouldn't be ripping rented discs. It's illegal. Only rip discs you own for backup. In the case that you ended up keeping the Netflix disc and thus now own it, I would head over to the SlySoft forums. They might be able to get you what you need. If you haven't used your AnyDVD HD trial, do that....

Re: The Quiet Ones MakeMKV 1.8.12

That's not really an error. It's just BD-J protection. I'm guessing it's a Lionsgate film. Go ahead and email the dump files. There's only one program I know of that tackles that protection and tells you the correct playlist, and it's by SlySoft. It's expensive. If you haven't used the trial yet, yo...
