Re: WH16NS40 Hash Check Errors

I just got my WH16NS40 SVC NS50drive today and I tried ripping my first UHD with it. I flashed the unit to the MK 1.03 version of the firmware with no issue and MakeMKV show that it was LibreDrive supported. I started the rip and about 20 minutes from the end it failed with 9 'HashCheck Errors. I t...

Re: Custom firmware pack with LibreDrive patches

Yeah I looked at that thread which prompted me to buy the Archgon MD-8107S-U3-UHD. It's a nice drive. Since that post said "If unsure, do not flash and wait for LibreDrive flasher app to be released" I was looking for this app. there is no makemkv app yet thats why i said there are community versio...

Re: Custom firmware pack with LibreDrive patches

Anyone know when this flasher app is coming for BU40N drives? example - there are three different BU40 models - Taiwan, USA and Europe. If unsure, do not flash, and wait for LibreDrive flasher app to be released. The community versions have been available since February look here for more info http...

Re: Ultimate UHD Drives Guide Updated 2019

Hi, I used an external ICY BOX IB-550StU3S enclosure (https://www.raidsonic.de/en/standards/searchresults.php?we_objectID=456) with my ASUS BW-16D1HT and was able to flash the firmware. Since this enclosure can be found relatively easy in the EU, perhaps you can add it to your list. D. ok thanks ad...

Re: Ultimate UHD Drives Guide Updated 2019

I have a WH14NS40 with 1.03 on it. It's currently in a Vantec case hooked into my Mac via VM (Win 10 32-bit). When I run the Firmware Flash Tool and select the bin file it goes to the progress bar and says it could take up to two minutes. Then it just sits..... I have to end the the task to exit ou...

You can decrypt on the fly with makemkv https://www.makemkv.com/forum/viewtopic ... 08&#p74508
You can use other programs besides vlc but they need to support the aacs key file

when it was in boot mode it was likely savable just by going to to asus's website and downloading the firmware for your drive. but not that your drive thinks it a newer hardware revision and its not you will not be able to downgrade with the asus or lg unlocked flashers. the drive is probably no lon...

Re: Heads up - Support for LG UHD drives

The first thing I tried was to test the drives in MakeMKV . The flashed, flaky-drive was ... flaky, so no info of any value there. Then I re-tried my working drive (not flashed) -- "retried" because, before all this, I tried MakeMKV and it didn't work on the 4k disc. My good drive always could read...
