Same problem here on Kubuntu. Wasn't an issue a couple of weeks ago.
To solve choose the version you want to save. It will display audio languages and closed caption option. I deselected all except the video and English and it seems to be working.

OK, after a bunch of messing around and nothing working it dawned on me that possibly some library has changed since I last built makemkv and maybe Gentoo portage didn't catch that correctly. I rebuilt makemkv from scratch and now it works fine. Title 39 seems correct. The movie looks to be in order...

Yeah, I'm pretty confused here. I ran the disc (Draft Day) in VLC again. This time the DVD menu played Title 66 so maybe I was incorrect before about Title 39. Anyway, 66 is in the list as a possibility (makemkv didn't say much other than it needed to use CellTrim, but 66 didn't end up in the menu o...

Correct title missing in makemkv
Hi, I'm looking at a DVD on my Gentoo Linux system. The DVD plays fine in VLC. It appears to play title 49. When I scan the DVD in makemkv-1.8.13 (1.8.14 is not yet available on Gentoo) makemkv shows title 48 but then doesn't provide as an option in the choices window. I.e. - in the list below there...
