Re: Fake cells?

I'm assuming you didn't try every single one... No, I didn't. I tried the first few and kept getting that same error. Having no experience with this "fake cells" error, I wasn't sure if that would be productive. The runtime of the actual video is 49:10 -- that which is shown on the majori...

Fake cells?

Using v1.15.2. I have a DVD (Hot Hula) that reports the following repeated 54 times and finally reports "Failed to open disc". Any suggestions are appreciasted. CellWalk algorithm failed (structure protection is too tough?), trying CellTrim algorithm Fake cells occupy 78% of the title - as...

Goodbye Christopher Robin

Originally tried with 1.14.0 then tried with the 1.14.1. Same results from both. While getting the catalog from "Goodbye Christopher Robin", it gets about 80% done and then fails. I hear the head moving some -- about 5-10 times -- and then it starts giving Scsi Errors: Error 'Scsi error - ...

Re: Elementary Season 1 Episode 3 (US)

As a test, what happens when you use ImgBurn to copy the disc, as well as just copying the VOB file from the disc to your computer's HDD? Yes, the copies will be encrypted, but we are just trying to determine if the media has an issue. ImgBurn initially complains about it being copy-protected but I...

Elementary Season 1 Episode 3 (US)

S1D1 of Elementary. MakeMKV easily rips three of the four episodes (1, 2, and 4) but it can't do #3. I've tried auto and manual but either way it begins reading the track, hits corruption in the VOB, tries to get around it, and then finally about half-way along, the DVD stops spinning and it locks u...

DVD production from MKV

[This is off topic since it isn't directly about MakeMKV. But I thought this group might have an idea on where I might find an answer.] Does anyone know of DVD production software which will actually use the chapters/segments as encoded in the MKV? Everything I've tried so far extracts the video/aud...

Re: P90X3 - DVD # 2 does not want to be ripped - help

I've worked out what I think is a foolproof* way to rip these DVDs using MakeMKV... The list of title numbers from the RegEx is longer than the actual title list because it includes duplicate (though fake) entries. You just have to try each one and all the fakes exhibit errors. Although, I found yo...

Re: P90X3 - DVD # 2 does not want to be ripped - help

I could not figure these 2 parts out. Also, I think some of this may have changed as Make MKV has been updated. The regex part really baffled me. #2 - After checking "manual" mode and letting MakeMKV read the disc, it will pop up a dialog with a text box at the top. Copy the contents of t...
