Re: Profile: -sel: does no longer work

Just a guess, but judging by the stray " in each fail msg, I'd try removing the double-quotes surrounding the full string & see how that works. Worth a shot. Sorry for late reply. Weirdly, that did the trick! Thanks! What is the COMPLETE XML container you're editing? In the default profile, the con...

Profile: -sel: does no longer work

I just installed the latest version 1.12.2 on my Qnap ubuntu VM and even when using the default profile I'm getting the following error when opening a BD: Profile parsing error: Invalid token '"-sel:all' Profile parsing error: Invalid token '-sel:special"' It seems that '-sel' is no longer supported...

Re: Location for profiles in v.1.12.0

Thanks :) Not the answer I was hoping for as it worked flawlessly before ;) I tried to rename the file itself and also the third line: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <profile> <!-- profile name - Myprofile --> <name lang="mogz">:5086</name> But I'm getting the same error. So I ended up just ...

Location for profiles in v.1.12.0

I'm using MakeMKV on a Ubuntu 16.04 VM on my Qnap NAS. In the past I always copied my edited default.mmcp.xml file to "/usr/share/MakeMKV/" and it worked just fine. However, after installing version v1.12.0 I'm getting an error that there are multiple default profiles upon start of MakeMKV. When I d...

Re: M4V to MKV?

That said, going from MP4 to MKV, you could do that with mkvmerge from mkvtoolnix (Google knows where they are). Load the file into the mkvmerge GUI, specify an output file name, and click on start. It is very fast, and there is no change in the audio/video quality, since everything is simply chang...

Re: Differences when converting ISOs to MKVs

It’s because you don’t select all languages for audio and subs. Furthermore, m2ts has a relatively large header which mkv doesn’t have.
