Re: Delete or Remove specific chapters

Look into MKVToolNix

Just GGL "MKVToolNix split on chapter / timestamp".

Re: Flashing the ASUS BW-16D1HT and or LG-BH16NS40

The NS40 ‘new’ type will say on the label “Service Code: NS50” and will have a manufacture date in 2016 or later. The actual cut-over date was ~Oct 2015, so SOME 2015 drives will support UHD. The best "tell" (IMO) is to observe what MakeMKV reports: Drive Information OS device name: F: Manufacturer...

Re: General questions about drives and 'updating'

LibreDrive and AACS "One famous “feature” of AACS is a so-called host revocation. It was designed to ensure that only “approved” software can use your drive. Every Blu-ray disc contains a file that has a list of host keys known to be used by "unauthorized" software. This list has a version number. ...

Re: Possible Flash error

Went through this exercise just yesterday... cross-flash WH16NS40 > WH16NS60 (x2).

'sdftool_flasher.exe' refused, as the OP reported, for some reason

ASUS_ODD_FW_Changer_(Modified).exe, on the other hand, worked 1st try. YMMV

Re: Asus BW-16D1HT Firmware crashes? Faulty drive?

Lack of Java shouldn't crash MakeMKV. I just eliminates the 'best guess' of a valid playlist for Lionsgate, et al, titles. Many users are unaware it's even a option.

Re: WH14NS40

Sounds like you flashed an NS40 (old, incompatible hardware) w/ an NS50 FW. It would have reported something like this prior to flashing: https://www.makemkv.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=21705#p86894 Note response in next post. And... "IMPORTANT Before you flash: 1. Make sure your Drive was built ...

Re: Another Bad BD Drive?

Wrong take-away, I THINK... At least one report of cross-flashing to WH16NS60 firmware seeming to fix things? https://www.makemkv.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=22676#p93899 https://www.makemkv.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=22676#p93915 Or... try downgrading MakeMKV to v1.5.1 (link to old versions ...
