Re: Asus BC-12D2HT

Haven't seen a clean Asus BC-12D2HT FW. Someone (above) reports success with a crossflash.

Be careful. That's at least a misdemeanor, depending on who/where.

Re: WH14NS40 First generation without any SV code on label can't read any disk after cross flash. Officially dead I gue

So you passed on the dump. My WH14NS40 was sent to a new home when I determined it couldn't be upgraded... I'm heartless that way. Maybe some community member will be able to help out? Stock flashers probably now see the drive as whatever drive's firmware you used for the failed update... ...

Re: WH14NS40 First generation without any SV code on label can't read any disk after cross flash. Officially dead I gue

You're kinda boned on a couple of fronts here... - You incorrectly identified the drive. The label states '2012' as the mfg. date. NS50 hardware was released in 2017 & most instructions I've read go to great lengths to emphasize this. - IF you followed the instructions & dumped the old firmware, you...

Re: Unable to purchase

I didn't mean to confuse you.

Avangate is safe. I used them when I bought my license.

If you buy a license and have problems, email MakeMKV support.

Re: Unable to purchase

OMG. Read the very first post in this thread (the opener), read MY first post in this thread (number 4)... Well, in post #2, Woodstock suggests you: 'send a message to support@makemkv.com with your information, and Mike should be able to fix you up.' Have you tried this? Most people claiming to hav...

Re: Unable to purchase

I would like to purchase a license for makemkv for more than one year Maybe I'm just misunderstanding, but the only license you can purchase is 'lifetime' (of the company/product, not the purchaser... always seems to be some confusion?). And while I purchased mine years back, I've never had any iss...

Re: UHD support

Hashed key (manually downloaded file) was introduced in v1.10.8. See note re: "All versions before 1.12.0..." https://www.makemkv.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=16959#p59411 Auto hashed key retrieval was added in v1.12.3. However, that version had its issues. Manually downloaded file is still suppor...

Re: UHD drives

Fails same exact way w/ 2 diff LG drives and the Asus BW16D1HT as well. Starting to think this is a failure or issue w/ the Vantec enclosure itself. The bad enclosure was my suspicion. If it's matter of validating the new drives, crack the PC case & use internal SATA/power connections (without moun...

Re: UHD drives

Hello all, I'm hoping someone else may have run into this problem that I can't seem to figure out. I purchased an LG WH16NS40 from jonghotti (Alex) and threw it in a Vantec NST-536S3-BK SATA to USB3 enclosure. The problem is I have tried it on my Win7 HTPC as well as my Win10 laptop and both can't ...

Re: Overboard

Follow up questions...

- Does this play on this drive/PC? If not, any player?

- Are you able to successfully process other discs on this drive/PC? If not, have you tried a different drive/PC?
