Re: UHD support

MakeMKV is clearly reporting a key is not available. It's a 2018 release, so one could reasonably argue that all versions have been reported, but with new discs, emailing the reported dump file to svq@makemkv.com & waiting +/- a week is SOP. You could make an undecrypted backup in the interim? There...

Re: John Wick 3

Menu bar, top left... select 'File' (left-most option) > 'Open DVD files manually' (2nd option in list) This will produce a new selection dialog listing all detected titles (including anything MakeMKV may have erroneously excluded)... ManualMode (Small).jpg Provide the # of the title you want & 'OK'...

Re: John Wick 3

Did you happen to load the link provided & read the suggestions?

Std forum advice is typically to 'clean the disc', no matter how pristine it may appear to casual inspection. If that doesn't do it, the referenced 'manual mode' is worth a try.

Re: Selecting BD drive for new instance not possible

This should apply to the Mac version, as well?

Check 'Ask for single drive mode' under Preferences > IO tab.

Re: Looking for new optical drive recommendations

It seems to meet your stated requirements &, assuming it was manufactured after late 2015 (SVC code NS50), has the added benefit of supporting UHD (if you ever change your mind). I use it myself & have no complaints.

Followed immediately by links to all available FW packs & flash tools (~generic).

And then 'How To...' videos. A veritable 'one stop shop'.

Re: Custom firmware pack with LibreDrive patches

I am really confused. I have been spending hours looking over the forums to see how I can flash my LG NS40 from FW 1.04 to 1.02. I see that folks are mentioning to use the Mikes 3.10 flasher to cross flash the drive and then install the 1.02 or 1.00 fw on it. Someone asks how to get the 3.10 app an...

Re: Registration code doesn't work?

Try copy/paste to apply the code (NO leading/trailing spaces). Typing it in by hand is just too prone to typos.

Re: MIB International

Has anyone successfully ripped MIB International? I have a retail version and am getting a notification that the volume key is unknown. This is the UHD retail version. "If a disk key is not known then protected disc will fail to open. MakeMKV will save a disc dump in this case, called "AACS dump". ...

Re: How to stream blurays via command line

That's sad. I've installed my bluray drive in my little home server and wanted to stream blurays to any other device in my network. Is it still possible to somehow implement that with the current version of makemkv? The note provided the answer. "(Use VLC or Kodi with libmmbd instead)" You only nee...

Re: How to stream blurays via command line

I would like to stream a bluray from my server via command line (makemkvcon). The command line usage claims that there's a "stream" command, but that does not work for me. $ > makemkvcon stream --upnp=1 --cache=128 --bindip=192.168.1.102 --bindport=51000 --messages=-none Deprecated option ignored D...

Re: "automatic sdf downloading is disabled or failed" while decrypting

Why not periodically sneaker-net '_private_data.tar' (or 'sdf.bin') from the laptop to the air-gapped machine? Smaller than moving around movie backups.
