Re: Disable LibreDrive

This thread confuses me. I have the same BP50NB40 drive and have been able to read and copy HD Blu-ray disks. However, it will not read UHD Blu-ray disks. I thought that's what having a LibreDrive-enabled drive made possible - plus speed increases. Can someone straighten me out? Thanks. I'd start b...

Re: General makemkv question re: debug messages

Same file size? If you're hellbent on determining if there's actually a difference, you could generate/compare the checksum for each file. How curious are you? :) https://www.nextofwindows.com/5-ways-to-generate-and-verify-md5-sha-checksum-of-any-file-in-windows-10 https://www.heatware.net/linux-uni...

Right-click on the '... disc' header, or any individual title (left-hand pane) & select the desired option.

Re: General makemkv question re: debug messages

My advice has always been to only enable debug/sync telemetry when actually debugging a problem. Without Mike's 'secret decoder ring', they are largely useless & only cause questions/angst. Do the rips complete successfully on both drives? Speculation... these seemingly obscure msgs allow Mike to fo...

Re: UHD drives

It's always safer to ask. There are numerous threads where people have blindly flashed these drives & while recovery is possible, it's a PITA (for those who didn't read up/ask in the 1st place).

Re: Firmware downgrade using official (patched) flasher, the "Ultra hax0r guide"

I'm getting the notorious "Write DRAM NG" error I just purchased a LG WH14NS40_NS50 drive with firmware v1.03 on it. Sadly my old drive of the exact same model with FW 1.01 died on me :( I'm using the patched LG firmware updated provided earlier in this thread from the google drive files. I've trie...

Attached is the dump from my failed rip attempt from Batman V Superman Ultimate Edition UHD 4k. I have been able to rip many other 4k discs, so like my ex said, its not me, its you. (joke) Thanks so much for the great product! Much appreciate the time, quality, and effort thats put into it. MKB20_v...

Re: Multiple Instances

Assuming 'Ask for single drive mode' is checked on the 'IO' preferences tab, I expect the only limit is the number of available ODDs. Since MakeMKV doesn't re-encode, it's fairly light on system resources. Separate 'scratch' (target) HDDs would alleviate potential I/O bottlenecks, if you REALLY need...

Re: Soft bricked 1st gen WH14NS40

I made a 32-bit Windows PE bootable 4 gb usb with the Aomei tool and tried booting it just to see if it worked, but only my installed Windows 10 started. I haven't tried booting it with my SATA ports set to IDE, would that be why? You need to set the order of boot devices in the BIOS such that it t...

Hi!
I just upgraded to 1.14.1 using two disc drives and I cannot select a new (second drive) instance. Anybody else having this problem?
Do you have 'Ask for single drive mode' checked on the 'IO' preferences tab?

Hello,
I'm new to MKV, just downloaded a few days ago. Now software is asking for a key. How do I purchase as you mentioned?
From the MakeMKV UI, Help > Purchase

Once you have the key, Help > Register

Re: Heads up - Support for LG UHD drives

I checked my system but no SATA - IDE mode in the BIOS . So the laptop is useless for that task. I'll have to wait until I dig out my old system, determine if it has the IDE mode, figure out a way to connect my laptop drive to it (probably an external adapter?), and go from there. Any instructions ...
