Re: Ultimate UHD Drives Guide Updated 2019

i crossflashed a LG BU40N (slimline, internal) to ASUS BW-16D1HT. Worked with no other FW. Tried then to downgrade to LG 1.0 FW but was not possible. I can see the device in the MKV screen with the ASUS FW, but the device doesnt work. Any ideas? Why would you do that!! Why not flash BU40N 1.03-MK??...

Re: NEW OPTION: 'UHD Friendly' Firmware Downgrade / Cross-Flash Using Official (Modified) ASUS Flasher for ASUS & LG Dri

Hi, I just ordered an Asus BW-16D1HT and plan to flash it to MK 3.10. Before that I'd like to make a backup though, in case I have a warranty case or something. All threads I found on firmware backups here seem to be outdated and locked. Or maybe my search was to generic... Anyway, what would be th...

Re: AACS 2.1 support

Yep, my testing went well. Results: 1. Eac3to now recognizes m2ts file and I was able to extract streams. 2. I created a 1 minute sample direct from the playlist using FFMPEG and did not find any noticeable glitches or artifacts. 3. CloneBD = no errors during encoding. Once finished, I watched a min...

Re: AACS 2.1 support

Now, when I try to use eac3to to read 00001.m2ts (formerly FMTS) I get the error: The format of the source file could not be detected. I also tried to use CloneBD on the decrypted folder and keep getting errors. It appears that other programs don't like the converted m2ts. It makes me wonder if the...

Re: AACS 2.1 support

I have also successfully decrypted my Zombieland UHD to a Folder using MakeMV. The movie looks fine when played directly from the decrypted folder.... I watched 1 minute and didn't notice any glitches or artifacts. Now, when I try to use eac3to to read 00001.m2ts (formerly FMTS) I get the same error...

Re: DC Universe Movie Collection; Hobbs & Shaw (UK)

Hi Marty, Just today I had no issue decrypting the 3 other discs from the DC Universe Movie Collection, 6 recently released Disney features recently released in the UK (some before and after the problem discs) and have successfully decrypted 100+ 4K discs and some Series in 4k in the past. I have o...

Re: DC Universe Movie Collection; Hobbs & Shaw (UK)

Hi, I am having disc opening failures for 3 discs, 2 from the DC Universe Movie Collection, Volume 1, which was released in the UK in September and for the Fast & Furious - Hobbs & Shaw released today (also the UK version). I am sure that for Hobbs & Shaw others will have brought it to attention bu...

Re: DVDFab/MacTheRipper Error

I’m confused. This error (or notice if you will) is in MakeMKV... Any way to suppress the notice... Apologies. I thought you were talking about using DVDFab on your DVD's, but I see you've already ripped them with DVDFab. I don't believe you can stop that notice. If you used DVDFab to rip them, cou...

Re: DVDFab/MacTheRipper Error

Greetings, Is there a way to suppress (via settings) the error?: "It appears that you are opening the disc processed by DvdFab/MacTheRipper which is known to produce damaged VOB files. Errors may follow - please use original disc instead." I just went through a 33 disc collection (store bought) and...

Re: SUPfoe (forced only extractor) - An Application to Extract "Forced" Subtitles from .SUP files

I found a minor issue and have updated the application.

Fix: Files that only contain forced subtitles to begin with were not copied correctly. Updated file attached in first post.

Re: UHD Friendly & Official drives for sale & flashing service (currently Australia & NZ only)

Hi, I recently purchased a UHD friendly drive from @MartyMcNuts. I reached out to Marty with a pretty clean slate in terms of knowledge and had a large number of questions. He took the time to answer each question thoroughly and presented all the information to me in a way that made the ultimate de...
