Re: Recommendation for best (most reliable and versatile) LibreDrive for 2024?

So, a drive needs to be flashed for LibreDrive features whether you want to rip UHD or not? Is LibreDrive necessary for any type of BluRay, or does it just make the ripping faster/less error prone? Libredrive is required for UHD ripping. For standard BD, it isn't needed but when enabled, it does st...

First 3x S13J-X drives out of an order for 6 arrived 2 days after they were shipped.

Super quick turnaround. Great communication and drives arrrived well packaged and in perfect condition. All on 1.03 and libre drive enabled.

I think these drives are perhaps the pinnacle of optical drive design. Probably over the top really but it’s so nice when a company literally goes out and tries to make the absolute best thing they can in a field. Quite common in Japan and these drives are just like that. Super quiet regardless of read speed.

Really beautiful pieces of engineering. So glad I bought 6 of them and I can’t guarantee I won’t come back to Marty for some more 😂.

Thanks again Marty! I highly recommend Marty for anyone in Asia!
Awesome! Thanks.

Re: UHD-100 Discs fail - not all

I’m starting to see that my UHD-100 discs fail to load on my drive. Strangely some discs works perfectly and others just comes back with “No Disc” Once that work includes: The Train (Kino Lorber) The Body Snatchers (1978) (Kino Lorber) Discs that don’t: 12 Angry Men (Kino Lorber) Lawrence of Arabia...

Re: LG WH14NS40 fw1.05

Jump straight into the deep end of the pool today... I ripped a simple 4k movie last night, but started today by ripping TRANSFORMERS - THE LAST KNIGHT and got a "hashcheck" error at about the halfway point. At the time the drive was reading in the 7.5x range. I started over again on the ...

Re: Ultimate UHD Drives Flashing Guide Updated 2023

I'm a bit confused by this guide. Does the section "drives that Currently work are:" mean that the drives in this list are capable of ripping 4k straight from the box? No. The Pioneer models work if they are on older firmware (pre Dec 2022). Essentially all of them now require flashing (n...

Re: Recommendation for best (most reliable and versatile) LibreDrive for 2024?

Hello. I'm in the same boat as everybody else here. Looking for the most reliable UHD capable slim 9.5mm internal optical drive to install in the small form factor PC that I'm building. It doesn't have to be the newest model because I can find just about anything on eBay. I just want a high quality...

Thank you for the response,

So, If I flash DE_ASUS_BC-12D2HT_3.11_MK, I should then be able to downgrade to ASUS firmware 3.01 ?

Thanks in advance
Yes, you should be able to.
