Re: Choppy Video on VC1 MKVs

Great further discussion. Until I read you post I didn't realize that it was only select VC1 content that was causing the problems with major stuttering etc., instead of all of it. Now I see it's just a select bit of the content, in fact for me just Torchwood as far as I can tell. Meanwhile I will t...

Re: Choppy Video on VC1 MKVs

TGC- This is a very valuable contribution. Thanks for taking the time to post. It's amazing that someone is having the same problems with the very same disk; who would have thought I'd find someone here with the same exact issue. Anyway, I did some testing based on your post and found indeed that al...

Re: MakeMKV on 64-bit operating systems

Worked fine for me on Vista x64 and W7 RC/RTM x64, as well as x32 variants of all the above.

Choppy Video on VC1 MKVs

Hi folks, Please advise me on best setup options to play back VC1 video. Just ripped my Torchwood Season 3 (Children of the Earth) to .mkv with MakeMKV 1.4.8. The resulting .mkv files are VC1 video with DTS audio. This is actually the first VC1 video I've tried playing since moving from W7RC to RTM ...

Bridal Wars is a BD+ if anyone is interested
Just got it from Netflix and now I have to send it back without watching : (
Can't you just rip to ISO with AnyDVDHD and play the ISO with PowerDVD or TMT?

Re: Access SATA - Anyway in the stable release?

FWIW, I can access my LG BDROM in SATA mode without any problem.

Are you sure that it's the software (MakeMKV) that is the problem? I haven't heard that it has problems with SATA BDROM drives before. Others may offer their similar or different experiences to give you additional data points.

For what it's worth, I was finally able to rip this episode using RibBot264. But it took about 10 hours!

Is there any file I can supply that would enable you to dig into this?

Re: Assertion failure: Battlestar Galactica S4.5 D3

Mike, Thanks for the reply. Here is some further information. This disk wouldn't open in makemkv as an iso; it failed before getting to the track listings screen. The episode I had trouble extracting is one of three on the disk. The other two extract fine. The one that fails seems to be listed twice...

Assertion failure: Battlestar Galactica S4.5 D3

Hi folks, Trying to extract episodes from my backup of the Battlestar Galactica Season 4.5 Disk 3, I got for the first time an apparent assertion failure from MakeMKV 1.4.6. The first and third real titles on the disk extract fine; the second doesn't and always fails at the same place about a third ...

Re: List of DVD/BluRay that haven't worked

Hi folks, I had a problem with Battlestar Galactica Season 4.5 Disk 3 BluRay region 1. I was able to extract the first episode on the disk, and the final one (which was an extra-length version of the content), but the middle episode, which is a double-length 2 hour special consistently fails. Here's...
