Re: Help With MakeMKV, Chapters & Plex?

"Wetware"? I'm not familiar with that term. I assume it's a joking jab at me, perhaps referring to my wet brain? Thanks for the explanation. That makes good sense. Perahaps you can answer one more question for me? Sometimes the chapter icons will be blank with no image. Sometimes I see images or mor...

Help With MakeMKV, Chapters & Plex?

I must have a setting wrong in MakeMKV or Plex. Here's the situation. I rip all my movies to the MKV container to watch using Plex. When I watch the movie in Plex and click on "chapters". it shows icons for every chapter. I can click on any icon and jump to that scene. However, the "next" button is ...

Re: Heads up - Support for LG UHD drives

Just for my education can someone explain to me what is the "sleep bug"? It is continually mentioned in various posts, but when I search the forums I cannot find a description. I currently rip UHD discs usually an ASUS friendly drive. Am I just not recognizing this bug? Thanks!

Re: Heads up - Support for LG UHD drives

Sorry to offend you st4evr. I did read this entire thread a few weeks ago. That's what made me decide to purchase an "official" UHD drive in the first place. I read LOTS of forum threads. I simply didn't remember that my question might have already been addressed. It doesn't make me a bad, slothful ...

Re: Heads up - Support for LG UHD drives

Hello All, Based on this forum thread I have ordered an LG WH16NS60 that should arrive in a few days. I assume it will have the most recent firmware installed. Can anyone steer me in the right direction for a firmware change? Am I correct in assuming that with earlier firmware this might become a "f...

Re: Jumanji (1995) subtitle problem

So do I understand correctly that there is no single subtitle track that just has the forced subtitle at the end? Those brief forced subtitles are only available in a track that has subtitles for the entire movie? 1. How can you "pull out" a forced subtitle? 2. Which English subtitle track contained...

Re: Incredibles 2 and Dolby Atmos

Thanks for the link about the correct English title. What is it with this UHD? I'm on my second disc. The first I was unable to rip because of errors. The second disc also gave errors, but after a couple tries it worked. Unfortunately I ripped the Spanish title. Now when ripping the English title, t...

Re: Incredibles 2 and Dolby Atmos

I've noticed the same problem after I ripped the UHD disc. I ripped the UHD disc specifically to get the Dolby Atmos track.

By the way, which is the correct English segment map? My rip has Spanish words in the movie, like on newspapers, etc.

Re: No Love With Disney's "Cinderella"?

I just got past the opening disc failure and made it the point of making an MKV file. Here's what happened. It's ugly: Saving 1 titles into directory D:/Videos/MakeMKV Rips Error 'Scsi error - MEDIUM ERROR:L-EC UNCORRECTABLE ERROR' occurred while reading '/BDMV/STREAM/00800.m2ts' at offset '48033792...

No Love With Disney's "Cinderella"?

I have been unable to rip this title. It takes multiple attempts to even load the disc successfully. Once loaded, MakeMKV tries to open the disc, but decryption fails. Is there a special way to get this sucker ripped? I was hoping to replace the DVD rip I currenty own with the improved Blu-ray versi...

Re: Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them

Well, go figure! I tried ripping the disc with v1.12.2, but it didn't have the needed decription key. So I then decided to rip it again using v1.12.3 for the third or fourth time so I could generate a dump file/error log to post here. Of course it ripped successfully! I never saw a scratch on the di...

Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them

I just tried ripping my first UHD blu-ray. It was a brand new copy of Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them. I have an "approved" ASUS Blu-ray drive and the latest version of MakeMKV. Everything went fine for about 34 minutes, then I started getting some read errors and the process failed. I have ...

Re: Is My Blu-ray Drive Really The Problem?

Well, I'm relieved and disappointed. I decided to take a really close look at both discs. "About Time" does indeed have an almost imperceptible circular scratch in the outer third. That must be the issue. "War For The Planet Of The Apes" has a single, very tiny bright dot that I can feel and won't w...

Re: Is My Blu-ray Drive Really The Problem?

I did read that thread before posting. Perhaps these two discs have mastering errors? They are literally brand new with no visible defects. They haven't even been played in a set top blu-ray player. I wonder if others have had problems with these two movies. I guess I'll hold off replacing the drive...

Is My Blu-ray Drive Really The Problem?

I have ripped hundreds of DVD and Blu-ray movies with my LG WH14NS40 drive. I continue to rip additional movies without incident. But I have two Blu-ray movies that will not save. They are "About Time" and "War For The Planet Of The Apes". Both discs look perfect to the naked eye. I get hundreds of ...
