Re: Coming soon 50 plus UHD dumps from Canada uhds.......
Or this sticky post at the top of the forum: http://makemkv.com/forum2/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=16883 Instructions couldn't be clearer to NOT update firmware. I like to link to this list of supported drives as a reference, since it includes the known compatible and incompatible UHD-reading firmware...

Re: Playlist Obfuscation: a possible solution? next steps?
you're wrong to think that github will simply remove code that gets around protections. I have a dvd ripper (decodes an ISO of a DVD in place) up on github for years without a problem. I've often seen Gitlab/Bitbucket used for alternatives, however there are also hosts like NotABug and 0xacab where...

Re: Revoked drive with v1.12.0
From what I've read there have been multiple users over at MyCE who have successfully used the WH16NS60 to rip UHD despite it being an officially certified drive.TeddyRaspin wrote:Furthermore you're using a real UHD device, instead of a UHD friendly one.

Re: Bladerunner 2049
I searched for this as well and found a thread from here a while back that mentioned that multiple Title items with different 'angles' in parentheses can either be actual alternate angles or just different language variations (something like that). For that film I just picked the first angle 1 with ...

Re: A good movie player for windows PC For UHD
Whatever video player supports alternative video renderers so it can use MadVR, which has settings independent of the player. Many enthusiasts use MPC-HC as such a player. Personally I use PotPlayer with MadVR set as the video renderer. Since I have a non-HDR monitor I then can set MadVR to handle H...

Re: Stranger Things UHD
- Something about the dumps isn't quite right. The dumps are really small. Nice! He did say they should only be a few kb in size so hopefully we’ll get it decrypted soon. From the new post by Mike it seems that if you've already emailed the first dump (the one that's several MBs) then users can ema...

Sharing this with the collective. Have seen a few of you post this same question. Answered by AV guru, Scott Wilkinson. http://www.avsforum.com/forum/index.php ... 382?page=1 The thread doesn't load for me. For seeing which UHD releases are upscales I use this list . You still get increased ...

Re: Asus BW-16D1HT Firmware
Was this achieved using the programs in the zip file you posted over at the Redfox forums a while back + a dump of the original firmware?TeddyRaspin wrote:I've used now my dosflash modded DOS version and I've successfully flashed the old backup firmware.
Now I can read UHD discs again.

Re: UHD support
Can't find the original post that was quoted above so not sure which file host was used for the mirror, but I can say a decent file host I often use is Mixtape.moe since they offer direct download links. The only thing to keep in mind is they randomize the filenames of uploaded files, so it would ei...

Re: Asus BW-16D1HT Firmware
Has anyone been keeping track of the approximate ripping speeds of each firmware version? I'm on v3.00 and the last disc I ripped saw speeds within MakeMKV of 22-29MB/s (mostly on the higher end), which for me was fine. If I were testing different firmware versions I'd probably want to rip the same ...

Re: AACS V64 - host certificate is revoked by your drive
So did the dev give any further information that fcmiii asked for, such as what can be done about it? The question the dev responded to was just whether the steps mentioned in your post were accurate or not, but looks like v1.10.10 of MakeMKV was just released with AACS v64 support, so the OP is pr...

Re: Coming soon 50 plus UHD dumps from Canada uhds.......
Greetings: Most of these titles are already taken included in the txt files. Try ripping, if that fails, send your dumps to Mike. Let us avoid duplicates. I mean, MakeMKV only creates dumps in the first place if a disc is currently unsupported afaik so I'm pretty sure there's no risk of duplicate k...

Re: AACS V64 - host certificate is revoked by your drive
Just for those who may come across this, asked the dev for clarification and it turns out this is incorrect. Apparently it processes the certificate revocation or whathaveyou the moment you insert the disc in the drive, rather than after clicking Open in MakeMKV.preserve wrote:<edited out original quote>

Re: AACS V64 - host certificate is revoked by your drive
Tip for everyone, MakeMKV displays the AACS version of the disc before you open the disc. Don't try to open the disc if the disc is higher than the current version that is supported by MakeMKV, which is v63. By 'open' do you mean performing any actions besides having the drive idle after opening Ma...
