Star Wars The Last Jedi 4K - PSA
If anyone else is running into an issue with The Last Jedi 4K disc errors, I found a tip from Chris Kelly over in the LibreDrive forum. I have two drives, one LG WH16NS40, and the other ASUS BW-16D1HT, and both were flashed to WH16NS60 1.00. I haven't had any problems for a longtime with both drives...

Re: Flashing My Drive to a Firmware for Makes and Models Other Than Factory Loaded
Uh oh. I think I'm finding this somewhat disk specific. For example, "Terminator Jenesis" works better when crossflashing to the LG WH16NS60. "The Last Jedi" works better when crossflashing to the ASUS BW-16D1HT. What can I say. It is what it is. I'm just posting my observations in case anyone eith...
Re: Gandhi
Thank you for your quick reply. Yes, I have used MKVTOOLNIX before MakeMKV 1.15.2 came out, so I’m familiar with the program. I’m just not sure when you combine all the files, i.e. both video files and both Dolby Atmos tracks how they all flow together. I’ll play around with it next week. This post...

Re: Ultimate UHD Drives Guide Updated 2020
Holy crap! I know this is anecdotal evidence and isn't proof of anything, but I post this in case it helps someone else. I bought Avengers Endgame UHD right when it came out. It never successfully ripped. I can play the disc on a standalone player. Yes, makemkv could open it and start ripping it, b...
Re: Gandhi
Definitely. Just waiting for MKVTOOLNIX to add support for DV so I can merge the two MKV's. Hello, have you successfully merged Gandhi together into one MKV file? I’ll receive my 4K disc next week and would like to know if there were any issues. MakeMKV cannot be used to merge MKV files. You would ...
Re: Gandhi
It's interesting that some of these titles now have to be split onto multiple UHD discs. Do you guys plan on ultimately merging the containers into one? Definitely. Re: Asus BW-16D1HT Firmware crashes? Faulty drive?
I have my bw-16d1ht flashed with ns60 1.00 firmware right now. For speed control on all my NS60 drives, after testing the crap out of it with re-ripping all my dolby vision discs, I came to the conclusion that for me, the best setting is: 0=99;U3=0 I had the most success with that while still retai...

Re: Asus BW-16D1HT Firmware crashes? Faulty drive?
I appear to have a similar issue since upgrading to 1.15.2. I have two UHD friendly drives in my PC, Asus BW-16D1HT and an LG WH16NS40 and now the Asus drive will not read certain 4K discs. For example, I was re-ripping several discs with 1.15.2, Saving Private Ryan, Mission Impossible Fallout, and...

4K OLED TV for Dolby Vision
Hello, I have been an MakeMKV users (paid) for many, many years and I am starting to look at 4K TV's. I see so many posts here about Dolby Vision I thought I would ask the members here for their opinion. I am looking for a general consensus on what TV's MakeMKV users are using to watch Dolby Vision ...
