Re: BD or UHD no longer work

Thank you so much Mike. I had an unrelated question. While trying to do a full backup, I have a disc which I was backing up and it got partially backed up before my 2 yr old hit the eject button :( Anyway so its a triple layer disc, and seems a little scratched, in the beginning it has hard time cop...

Re: BD or UHD no longer work

Serves me right for skimming the forum and not reading thoroughly. Apparently the FW upgrade is a one-way trip. So, what did I just screw up...the ability to play UHD Blurays or something even worse? The bad news - you lost ability to read UHD discs. The good news - not for long, there will be upda...

Re: How to Train Your Dragon 1 & 2 - Fail to decrypt

The hash key file that is manually downloaded here in the forum is NOT the same file that is updated by the Mike’s online database. One is publicly available and the other is stored within program files and maintained separately. Thank you! Is there a location of the file that’s visible or is part ...

Re: How to Train Your Dragon 1 & 2 - Fail to decrypt

I think MakeMKV actually consults an online database of hashed keys. The text file is a fallback, and you have to update it manually. I thought it downloaded the file, I think I remember seeing a status message that it downloaded the latest file. Maybe I’m wrong, hopefully someone can chime in. Sen...

Re: How to Train Your Dragon 1 & 2 - Fail to decrypt

I just sent dumps too, but it seems like the Makemkv is not pulling the latest version of the hashed keys, I moved my file out of the folder to test and it didn't download a new version. I'm going to try with posted keys_hashed from the sticky, it does have 2 versions of HTTYD 1 & 2 and see if that ...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.

Sorry forgot to mention, I'm using a 2016 LG Oled specifically the 65E. And yes I'm able to playback in DV full backups of my UHD's from my network. I agree I don't need it specifically, but having more ways to do it is always a plus, who know when oppo will break and how difficult it might be to g...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.

So I did try the process to convert to a MP4 container. I was able to make the file successfully, and upon playing it on my TV I could playback the clip, with the DV tag coming on, however the picture had a green tint/covering on it. Then I tried to play the file from oppo, and the picture played fi...

Re: Attention. Ver 2.1 protection out

Hi all, reading all this i find it a bit confusing to understand the current status.. Does makemkv support 2.1 right now? And what is trying to "talk home"? The user friendly uhd drive from an online connected pc? I mean, if an mkv is created and played with online connected lets say kodi from a me...

Has anyone tried ripping this movie??? I am one my third one and I still get read errors.......I have the Asus UHD- friendly drive( BW-16D1HT), which this is the first time I've had this much difficulty ripping a title......On each disk(including this one), it rips fine until it gets to about 24,96...
