Re: The RipMonster Project - (Take 20 something)

Well thanks for all the info and sorry for my short fuse... While you might not think a drive is a big deal perhaps I've just a string of bad luck.. 3 out of my last 4 drives were riplocked and couldn't be 'fixed' without a windows box (something I don't have ready access to) so perhaps you can see ...

Re: The RipMonster Project - (Take 20 something)

Hi! I'm afraid I don't see where your posts have anything to do with makeMKV-related bugs that you've discovered or encountered... Thanks for your input on my question... It's help like this that makes me wanting to come back... Anyway.... I **HAD** posted this under " General MakeMKV discussion - ...

Re: The RipMonster Project - (Take 20 something)

Well I purchased 2 drives today... The Lite-On iHAS324 - http://www.myce.com/review/lite-on-ihas324-review-17515/Authors-page-10/ Highlights: - The Lite-On iHAS324 is not CSS riplocked and ripped our test DVD-Video (Goldeneye) SL disc in 5 minutes and 23 seconds. - The Lite-On iHAS324 is not CSS rip...

The RipMonster Project - (Take 20 something)

Okay... I'm back on/off the wagon once again and have a yearning to rip my movie collection to a 'heap-o-lot' of TB hard drives. - My collection is upwards of 600 movies... AND (countless seasons) of scifi (mostly) TV shows (in season boxes). To give an idea... - Andromeda (all episodes) - Firefly (...

Re: BluRay Ripping Speed

Can someone tell me why my 8x BluRay drive only ever gets to 3x no matter what disc I am using ? Cheers g1ngerninja I am FAR from a BR expert however, I can tell you that DVD drives that were advertised with their TOP SPEEDS but looking at the fine print the stated speed was only achievable on Sing...

Re: license question

Thanks for the insight... I've been a lurker far longer than a poster and its good to hear your thought on how things might shake out... Like I said... this is their forum and they can maintain it any way they see fit... I fully agree with the notion that privately run forms ESPECIALLY those who don...

Re: license question

As you say, you can't speak for the mod, so there's really no point in posting that you think a thread should be locked ;>} I'm sure "mike-admin" will address the initial post of this thread... [/color] You misunderstood... and my question remained unanswered but thats okay... The entire reason for...

Re: license question

Just a question to the forum mod... since I can't speak for the developer... Someone else posted the quoted text below in another message thread asking about pricing (that was then locked leaving the readers to believe the quoted text was indeed accurate) Although it's apparent that you folks are we...

Re: Grey's Anatomy and House Errors

At leastI am not alone then! I have not got GA to work. I was originally copying to HD then using MakeMKV from that, but if I directly used MakeMKV from the disc, although slower, it worked! So wait? which statement is the right one? " I have not got GA to work." or " but if I directly used MakeMKV...

Re: Greys read error

@popejobs Hi! Please be specific. What does your post mean? Is there some extra heavy duty protection that, according to you, typically can't be overcome for any of the "Grey's Anatomy discs? Just an FYI... I do remember a while back when I was foolishly attempting to rip me and my wife's TV season...

Come on... you're expecting people to speak now before you've made your plans for the future? Heck no... people won't come here and scream bloody murder until AFTER the changes are made... Shheech... what were you thinking... ** Warning: the previous text was dripping with sarcasm with subtle ...

Re: What optical drive works best with MakeMKV?

Right, but I'm not using it for CDs and DVDs, only for BluRay discs. This (to the best of my understanding) is an OS X ... Apple-Imposed ... issue... OS X can (for some time now) read BR movie disc's without any issues... However... Due perhaps to BR licensing issues or whatever... OS X does not ha...

Re: How-To: Automate DVD & Blu-Ray (Backup, Encoding & Tagging)

This is strange, I can't even get out of the starting gate... and I believe I've followed the instructions but since they aren't in a simple list form I may have skipped over something... 1 - I downloaded the dmg with the workflow folder and installer and use the installer and then dragged the workf...
