Re: The Best of CGR 1999-2014

The plot thickens... I tried ripping on another drive and computer to test and it seems the issue with the USB drive is happening with that drive and computer as well. Perhaps MakeMKV is looking for something the disc doesn't have. Handbrake seems to not have any slow down issues or problems ripping...

Re: The Best of CGR 1999-2014

Ok, here's what I found out. It seems to be an issue with my drive. I have an external enclosure for one of my drives, and it's not playing well with makemkv. When I use a sata drive, it works fine and rips it. My guess for a solution is to have Makemkv with an alternate mode for USB 3.0 drives/encl...

The Best of CGR 1999-2014

It rips normal at the start, but when it gets to the middle it slows down.
By the time It gets to 40gb, the drive stops ripping it. It seems to be something with MakeMkv as no matter what port I use, the issue remains and the drive can rip other blu rays just fine.

UHD Apollo 11

Before you ask, yes this is real. Dogwoof (a UK company that publishes films in the UK for many companies) has released a 4k UHD release of apollo 11. I rip the disc and it seems to work just fine, until the end. There's several minutes of a copyright notice, and that's it. When you try to skip to p...

Re: New Software from DVDfab on downgrading UHD drives... Is this good?

No it has all the same requirements as the video I posted but you can do it on a 64 bit os I and others do this for much cheaper $25 I can sell you a drive preflashed shipped to you and cheaper than what they want just for the tool that most people will only use once. No kidding. I'm getting my dri...

New Software from DVDfab on downgrading UHD drives... Is this good?

This could be a breakthrough or a rip off, so I decided to post the link here for this new project from DVDfab. https://www.dvdfab.cn/uhd-drive-tool.htm?ad=newsletter190130&button=content1 Currently for $109 on sale (and $209 with their UHD copy and ripper software for life apparently...), this soft...

Re: UHD drives

My motherboard doesn't have IDE, so I may need a flash service. Any ideas for a flash service or a way to force IDE on a motherboard that doesn't support it?
