Debug Code 322122506

What does this mean? I just got it repeatedly when I inserted a disc, and it ended up giving up and declaring that there was actually no disc in the drive. Ejected it, gave it a quick wipe and reinserted it, and it's working fine. Seems odd. There were no visible marks or fingerprints or scratches o...

Your DVDs/BDs will not explode or run away in the small timeframe you have to wait for the key to be updated by Mike.
Speaking as someone who's found during this backup process that a large number of my discs have rotted and are unreadable...not necessarily true.

Re: Beta key

The DVD functionality is supposed to be free, only the BD functionality is part of the beta.

Re: Why Do I Need a Beta Key to Rip DVDs?

The 30-day BD limitation is definitely there; I hit it when I was using the beta key eons ago. You have to re-enter the beta key to reset it. If you rip a BD the first day a beta key is issued, 31 days after that, you'll have to re-enter the same key. Odd, I'm sure I would have run into it by now b...

Re: Why Do I Need a Beta Key to Rip DVDs?

There's no 30-day limit on BD functionality, because it's still in the beta phase. The 30-day limit only applies to the full, non-beta version, which doesn't exist yet.

DVD functionality is always free, beta or otherwise. As such, a key shouldn't be required.

Why Do I Need a Beta Key to Rip DVDs?

According to the website:
You may use MakeMKV to convert or stream DVD and AVCHD discs for free, as much as you want. Converting or streaming Blu-ray discs is shareware functionality.
So why can't I rip DVDs (or even open the software) without a key?

Why do you need a beta key to rip DVDs if that's supposed to be free functionality?

2009 Royal Rumble

For some reason when I rip this, I get a file 30 seconds longer than watching the Blu-ray in PowerDVD. There's a 30-second plug for a different DVD release in the middle, which is presumably where that 30 seconds comes from, but after that plays there are no more chapter markers in the MKV file. The...

WWE Tagged Classics - Last Cell Not Ripping

I've only noticed it on the Tagged Classics DVD releases, but I only came across it while trying to mux together one of the two-disc WrestleMania releases so I'm going to have to go back and check everything else. The last cell is only three or four seconds long, and doesn't rip. I have to turn the ...

Re: Zero-length titles

I've got another disc that acts the same way, except the title it returns when I use the disc is five minutes too short. First five minutes is missing when I play it.

Zero-length titles

I have an ISO. When I try to open the disc I get this: Using direct disc access mode Calculated BUP offset for VTS #1 does not match one in IFO header. Calculated BUP offset for VTS #2 does not match one in IFO header. Calculated BUP offset for VTS #3 does not match one in IFO header. Failed to open...

1984-85 NBA Champions: Return to Glory (ILLEGAL REQUEST:READ OF SCRAMBLED SECTOR WITHOUT AUTHENTICATION)

Every disc gives me the Scsi error ILLEGAL REQUEST:READ OF SCRAMBLED SECTOR WITHOUT AUTHENTICATION They seem to rip fine but some games are missing an entire quarter. It doesn't throw any errors, it just doesn't seem to notice that there's any more content there. I can't imagine it's scratches or da...

What are all these errors?

They happen intermittently with rips. I'm copying existing ISO files, mounted in VCD, to a network drive.

DTS Audio Question

When ripping Blu-rays with DTS audio, it always shows up as two nested tracks: A "DTS-HD MA Surround 5.1 English" track with a "DTS Surround 5.1 English" sub-track.

In the final MKV file, there are two audio tracks both labeled "5.1 Surround".

What's the story here?
