Re: 4K OLED TV for Dolby Vision

I have a C7 65'' and it's great. I came from a Panasonic 55'' Plasma that was hard to beat. And yes - all OLED panels are made by LG regardless if the TV says Sony, Panasonic etc.

Re: Dolby Vision and 1.15.1

Personally I'm a friend of beta field tests. Mike has never done that and I had also a conversation with SamuriHL and he wasn't a friend of it either concerning another feature. However, I think the feedback of 50+ beta testers would give a good impression if a new feature works flawlessy. Just my 2...

You did a lot of flashing firmwares. I hope you didn't forget to reboot your computer after each of those. You need to and can't just continue after flashing the firmware.

Re: Ultimate UHD Drives Guide Updated 2020

I posted this just a few minutes ago in another forum. I have two LG BH16NS55. One flashed to ASUS 3.10MK, the other to 3.02. 3.10 rips fast. 3.02 stays longer at low read speeds if errors occur and was therefore succesful when 3.10 would fail. Always clean problematic discs with liquid soap and wat...

Re: Unable to flash Buffalo BRXL-PT6U2VB-EU - Updating Failure #1

You will get better info by makemkv if you just put a regular BluRay disc in the drive. That was the recommendation you got. First things first. UHD will be the next step.

Your drive seems to be flashed successfully. Please post a screen shot of the Makemkv splash screen after startup which lists more information.

Re: Asus BW-16D1HT LibreDrive Firmware

Yes, read this. https://www.makemkv.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=22221 I had to move the older .bin files to a \backup directory and only after that Libredrive would work. To \backup just to make sure I can move those files back in case of any issues. I'm not sure. But it's possible that yo need t...

Re: BD-RE BP55EB40 and Updating Failure #5

You should check if your drive really has a sevice code N50 since it's very old (2015). On the other side it's already working with Libredrive even w/o the firmware patch. So just leave it alone. If you look for a new one consider the BH16NS60 if you work only with Makemkv. If you also use AnyDVD co...
