The OSMC product does look interesting! But, where did you find the $120 price? It’s listed on their site for GBP 107.10, which I believe is closer to $147.

Is there any possibility of an experimental feature to mimic Blu-Ray players, and skip over tiny imperfections? I truly believe the studio is putting these in on purpose, that's the only conclusion I can reach (other than the improbable conclusion that only all the X-Men tiles have somehow gone bad ...

Thanks for the suggestion, @Woodstock. I tried that (using a slow drive for destination). It was painfully slow, but the result was the same. Well, a little bit different may be, it gave also a "Scsi error - ILLEGAL REQUEST:ILLEGAL MODE FOR THIS TRACK", then followed by the NOT READY error...

I was helping a friend rip his Blu-Ray collection this weekend. Setup was a MacBook Pro with an external USB LG Blu-Ray drive, with its own power connected.
