Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.

Any idea to make gemini man dolby vision runs correctly at 60fps? is all about the hardware. 4k 60fps @ 80mbps (~110 peak) is tough. you need fast components and even faster internet (if streaming). local media from an ssd or usb 3.0 drive on a tv w/ usb 3.0 would be ok so long as the tv model is a...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.

Ok so I did further testing with 3 movies: Hereditary, Paddington 2 and Gemini Man. They are played from my external hard drive connected to my c9 oled via usb. -If I use Grencola tool, Hereditary & Paddington 2 in dolby vision suffer heavy stutterring. However, if I use the original method (ts...

no buffering at all, as long as the average bitrate of the file is below 85 Mbps.
max ethernet speed of the tv (network=Gigabit and fiber=1000/400 Mbps)

Mine is only 45. I guess this method is a no for me then.

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.

I did more than 60 Dolby Vision dual layer files. Except Gemini Man (60fps=>stutter) and Universal Soldier (peak > 100 Mbps), all of them play fine on my C7. What did you use to play them with? I try usb and some stutter (hdr10 always play fine but some dolby vision files do not). I want to try ple...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.

Does anyone manage to play gemini man dolby vision smoothly at 60fps via usb? Mine seems to play at lower framerate. I used grencola tool.

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.

The USB ports on the C9 are only USB2.0, maybe the combination of your USB chipset and the v2 port isn’t quite fast enough for some high bit rate titles. Usb 2.0 has a speed of 480 Mbps which is way higher than these films’ bitrate (less than 100 Mbps), so there shouldn’t be any problem right? Btw,...

Hereditary dolby vision stutters on my lg c9, playing via hdd connected via usb. Other movies like Bumblebee and Fantastic Beasts play fine. Any idea?

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.

It's possible that tvs will support both dolby vision and hdr10+ in the very near future. Is there a way to make hdr10+ work through mp4 mux like dolby vision? I checked the Alien 4k Remastered disc (an hdr10+ title) and it seems there is only 1 video stream (compared to usually 2 streams in a dolby...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.

Could someone take a look at this and see if there's anything that can be done: Instead of a dedicated dolby atmos home theater system, I'm using Dolby Atmos for Headphone (DAfH), hoping that I can get that atmos experience watching ultra hd movies. The thing is: almost no media player on pc can dec...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.

It's been a while since I was on this thread. Any update to the method or Grencola's tool (mine is v2.0) is still the best here? Anyone got the c9 oled and can confirm the DV files are still working on that tv?
