Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
I didn't watch the whole video but at 5:15 he is playing a single layer DV rip. Also later in the video he mentioned that it doesn't play double layer. It's an mp4, so it could be either profile. it's almost surely 7 though given this info by Nancy from the Ugoos staff: Dual layer currently is no p...

Thanks

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
The 0.0.4 ALFA version of my program is out. As always, I have updated my original post (at the bottom). HERE . Two main changes: the ability to manage raw streams extracted from REMUXed files (out there, into the wild) that in the past have retained the stream relating to the Enhancement Layer. gi...

Re: Dolby Vision and 1.15.1
Sorry if this a dumb question Yesterday I ripped 2 DV UHDs using the least MakeMKV version 1. Godzilla KOTM - this has both DV and HDR10+. Mediainfo shows MKV file containing HDR10+ but no DV. 2. Aquaman - this is DV only. Mediainfo shows HDR10. Is this due to Mediainfo not capable of recognising D...

Re: Dolby Vision and 1.15.1
Guys - can someone please clarify a few questions for me please regarding the whole DV and ATMOS developments: * With the release of MakeMKV version 1.15.1, does this mean that I can successfully rip the entire contents of a UHD bluray title including DV and ATMOS and play this via my NAS (and get ...

Re: Dolby Vision and 1.15.1
The progress made to finally get DV on MKV is awesome but it won't do any good if you can't trust the color reproduction in the only device where you will be able to see for the moment, which is the Shield TV Pro 2019 Plex on LG Smart TV https://i.ibb.co/pWqs341/plex-tv.jpg Plex on Nvidia Shield Pr...

Re: Remux 3D ISO to M2TS
But what did the ripping? Since MakeMKV does not create ISO files, it wasn't MakeMKV. You cannot make a valid ISO file without tools that know how to deal with the access restrictions built in to Bluray drives. The ISO files that result from that have different characteristics; they're rarely 1:1 c...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
I have LG C7 and I also have these artifacts in some movies. It is not because of DV or a HDD, but because of the player in TV. It cause artifacts also on the remuxes or on the m2ts files from ISO. It's too bad that LG didn't fix it on new model (also someone should try it on C7). I fixed this by b...
