Re: MKV Files Do Not FF and Stop Near End

You might try going to the WDlive forum for help as well. Also, wondering if you have done any further manipulation to the files with other programs after MakeMKV ripped them. Many of them cause my players to operate irradically. A telltale symptom with me is MKVs that only FF up to 2x. de-muxing an...

Re: Best media player

http://www.iboum.com/net-media-players.php is the primary location for info on media players. Myself, I have a few Seagate Theater+ devices that I bought a while back when they were on sale and like them very much. No problems with playing external hard disks with DVD iso or 1920x1080 MKVs. I also h...

Re: Still cannot get newer versions to get past the Fatal er

Op sys Win XP Hom ed -SP3

Yesterday I did insert a couple of my older BRs into the external BR drive. One of the BRs went to /AACS/MKB-RO.INF (ABOUT 20 SECONDS IN) [Total Recall]

The other even went past the above point and failed at AV CLIP. [the Devils Rejects]

Re: Still cannot get newer versions to get past the Fatal er

Just installed the 1.6.10 update. Loaded a DVD into my internal drive. The program examined the disk and brought up the second screen. I pressed the button to begin the process and it failed immediately. I then loaded a unencrypted dvd into the drive. Started Makemkv up and went thru the process agai...

Re: Still cannot get newer versions to get past the Fatal er

Usually if I check the start MakeMKV button just prior to finishing the install it errors immediately. Yesterday, I thought I would go backwards to version 167. With that I got the too old dialog so I put in the correct numbers and it did start up but than phased out at the place where it checks the...

Still cannot get newer versions to get past the Fatal error

Ever since the 1.6.6 version I have not been able to get any including the new 1.6.9 version to get past the Fatal error popup. When the 167 update was avail, I thought that would help but it didn't. I've disconnected my internal DVD drive and my external BR drive and still nothing. When I install a...

Re: Is it possible to have MakeMKV demux a BR into its strea

@setarip_old Maybe I was unclear about the use of AnyDVD. With AnyDVD I can use TSMuxer to demux my BRs to their streams. That process takes about the same time as MakeMKV takes to rip a BR. With the MakeMKV MKV I next have to demux the MKV into its parts. So, the use of MakeMKV requires an extra st...

Is it possible to have MakeMKV demux a BR into its streams?

I have always liked MakeMKV especially for my BR collection, however I always find it annoying that once I'm done ripping my BR I'm left with a MKV that need further massaging to really be useful to me. First I usually change the DTS to AC3 and than I convert the PGSsup to srt because my players won...

Re: is mkv a good format for SD DVD or only Blu-ray

MKV is the best container out there with support for just about anything. SC I don't think that's true at all. For SD DVD if you want a single file ISO is the way to go or they can be left in the VideoTs format. Aside from the fact that there is many times more software for manipulating the standar...

Re: Was in love with product UNTIL!!!!

Most likely has nothing to do with MakeMKV. With a number of Media players and Different brands of TVs I'm always running into similar problems with different resolutions (640,720,1440,1980) Each player or TV seems to like to display in its own way. I have to use the MKVtoolNix header editor for my ...

Re: creating chapters from multiple merged mkv files

Has to be done manually. Keep track of the lengths of each episode. Append them with MMG than use XMediaRecode to create your chapters based on the lengths of the original files. All done manually.

Re: creating chapters from multiple merged mkv files

There are a number of ways to do this. XMediaRecode can do this for you. It even has a preview function.

TxtToChap can convert 00.00.00.000 format to xml that is acceptable by MKVToolNix.

Re: v1.6.0

@awtlaw It seems like lots of users have probably gotten 1.60 to work but since my first post re: the issue it seems the problem is ongoing and could use a quick temporary remedy until it is finally fixed. So far moderator support has not been forthcoming. However, it is my understanding that until ...
