was there some reason to STOP at 1.10.7?

I vaguely remember there being some reason to NOT "upgrade" beyond MakeMKV 1.10.7. Does anyone know what that was about?

Re: Ender's Game Bluray

How do you identify which *version* of the damn blu-ray it is? BestBuy/Target/Steel/Netflix/RedBox/Retail/etc./etc./etc.??? Has anyone figured out which track for each version is the actual damn movie?

screw it. I'll just re-read the book. Idiot MPAA.

Re: subtitles FAIL on "Les Cent et une Nuits" aka "101 Night

Oh! That's a very nifty feature. :-) Ok, I have done a *TESTDUMP* from the MacTheRipper disc image (which does play fine in VLC, audio, subtitles, and all). I don't know what I'm gonna do in the future, if MakeMKV can't rip a disc, as MacTheRipper no longer runs on these newfangled OSXes. :-( *TESTD...

Re: Fanny and Alexander - director's TV version

My apologies for being a dumbass. For whatever reason, neither of the *Swedish* audio channels got automatically selected, and I'm so used to ALL the audio channels getting auto-selected that I didn't bother to check. I re-ripped the disc, manually selected both audio channels, and all is fine. Less...

Fanny and Alexander - director's TV version

MakeMKV says all 8 tracks ripped successfully. What it fails to mention is that the main movie tracks were ripped WITHOUT AN AUDIO TRACK! Yep, none at all. The disc ostensibly has both Swedish and English. The non-movie tracks ripped with their audio tracks. It seems like MakeMKV might have told me ...

Re: Paid for MakeMKV, Avangate Says I Never Paid

PayPal solves problems!? LOL!! Yeah, by shutting down your account, locking up all of your funds, and confiscating them if you don't jump through *exactly* the 1week time-frame hoops set up months down the road. I cannot scream enough how much paypal sucks.

Re: Can MakeMKV create ISO images from DVDs?

This is something that MakeMKV *should* do! Now that the defunct MacTheRipper no longer functions on Mountain Lion there is no viable way of simply ripping a DVD. :-/

Maybe ISO'ing a DVD could be one of those Premium features you get for buying a license! :-D

Re: Feature request regarding file names

I posted a link to an API that would work great, but my post vanished, and I lost the URL. But there is one out there that would auto-name TV rips.

Re: Please add the ability to queue up multiple drives

Which is why QUEUING would be a nice feature. With proper queuing, the full power of the CPU, blu-ray drive, and HD could be utilized and focused on each rip, resulting in data streams that would be more contiguous, and disc swaps that would be more consistent (i.e. two discs would be *completed* be...

Re: naming help for tv shows+xbmc scraper

I wonder if Mike could implement the API to thetvdb.com? http://thetvdb.com/wiki/index.php?title=Programmers_API That would be an AWESOME addition to MakeMKV! Then it could be a simple "insert disc, click rip" procedure to get our libraries properly ripped, tagged, named, and up on our media servers...

Re: Errors running MakeMKV on OS X 10.9 DP

I have been having that error repeatably since MakeMKV 1.8.3, and I'm only on Mt. Lion 10.8.3. MakeMKV 1.8.4 does not resolve the "Fatal error occurred, program will now exit." error. I do have DASP 1.3 installed, and no idea how to completely remove it. I believe the only way to get MakeMKV to run ...

Re: subtitles FAIL on "Les Cent et une Nuits" aka "101 Night

I may not be fully comprehending what you want me to do, but I find no subtitle track in the resulting MKV file (despite having selected it for the rip using MakeMKV) using MKVtoolnix. See attached screenshots. PS: if this is just to help me, don't worry about it. I can watch the DVD rip in VLC. It ...

Re: subtitles FAIL on "Les Cent et une Nuits" aka "101 Night

Thanks for the suggestions Chetwood, but you seem to have missed the part about this happening on OSX Mountain Lion--or I missed the part about DVD Shrink being available for anything other than Windoze. Please let me know if you have a solution that might work on OSX. Ideally, Mike will be able to ...
