The m2ts file does not contain chapters as much as I know.
Neither does it have a language tag for the streams inside.

Re: Opening Bluerays Manually like DVD
You can use MKVToolNix to split the MKV file created from MakeMKV to make a new file after every chapter:

The original file will be just cut into pieces, no reencode is done there.

Re: Blu-Ray + jre in Mint20
Mustn't be an obfuscation. If I remember right, lots of Pixar movies have many playlists for the main movie because they just render signs, displays and such in different languages, so e.g. even when you listen to audio in German you see text in German as well in the movie. So basically the playlist...

Why don't you change the default selection rule in the Advanced tab in the options? You might need to check "Expert mode" at the first page of the settings.

Re: Audio Tracks from The Matrix blu-ray DigiBook
The files must be somewhere in the m2ts files in the streams subfolder. I'm not sure if MakeMKV would skip tracks having no video track.
Might either check for several m2ts files with only Audio or for a huge file with all of them inside.

As much as I observed, the "Segment map" on a MPLS file refers to the m2ts files in the streams folder.

Re: Backup option greyed out for DVDs but not for blu ray
Is dd even able to copy a DVD with CSS?
And I guess, MakeMKV is not much possible to make full DVD backups because of the menus. Maybe there just wasn't a reason to make it able to read menus at all.

What else is in your BDMV folder?
Like there should be a folder named playlists and one named streams and a few others.

Re: update mkv writing librarys
It's new to me that Windows has native libraries for working with MKV files.
MKVtoolnix is a 3rd Party Program that needs to be installed and I'm sure by far not installed by most of the standard users.
So probably only the build in mkv files should be updated some time.

Which collection shall this be? I bought a collection of BluRays from Movie 1 to 5 in 2015 already. Hadn't a problem with any of the discs (bought on German Amazon)

Installing something like K-Lite Codec Pack with the Thumbnail Provider it has for basically all video files sound like an easier solution.

Re: Lost -- the complete series
On BluRays there is often a playlist for all episodes, if there is a "play all" button at the BluRay menu. But on DVDs this is also sometimes possible. More often MakeMKV found one huge track on the disc followed by multiple others which in total add to the big one. I can't tell if Lost DVDs are aut...

Re: makemkv parses supergirl deleted scenes incorrectly
if you play 01268.m2ts and 01269.m2ts in a video player, what do these videos actually show?
maybe they're like 0 frames and MakeMKV ignores them, but that is just a guess.
