What are you using to convert the .mkv file once you get it? I was able to rip my 4K Martian with no problem, but didn't get any forced burn subtitles. I am using Mac X Video Pro Converter to move from the mkv to an mp4 file. Some 4K movies convert OK, some don't. I don't think makeMKV is the issue...

No error messages at all. It try's to read it for about a minute or two and then just says "no disc inserted"

Pick the patched ASUS flasher and flash 3.10 MK. If you have critical discs to read you can always flash 3.02 or 3.03. And then even back to 3.10. No problem.
